Hey, so Thorgot, a couple weeks ago, came up with a command that would essentially respawn all T's killed by a certain CT. This would be helpful for those assholes who come on just to MFK T's and be an easy transition from complete chaos to order.

Ideas, questions, comments? We've had some great command put in recently, such as the aheal command, so I don't think it'd be hard to implement this. 

Could a time delay be included? Like it only applies to the T's killed within 10 seconds?

Go into console, type "status" (without the quotes) and match the ID with the player. Steam ID's are also posted in the chat box of the server when a player comes or leaves it.

just set the punishment in stone so people a) know full well when they are breaking the rules and what they should expect and b) arent getting ridiculously long bans because a staff member took it personally or is using the rule as an excuse to ban someone for their vendetta
 
also, id rather have free discussion on the most popular movie of the year instead of extended censorship on the chance someone hasn't seen the movie. on the forums its easy to tag spoilers but it gets complicated in-game and on teamspeak. Ive heard from a couple sources that after a week its fine but i doubt this was deliberated on by all staff and im pretty sure chosen just pulled it out of his ass (again)

Congratulations, that's the most idiotic thing I've read all day. You've been a member of these forums since you were 16...

I know the kid pisses you off, he got on everyone's nerves when he was admin. He knows he fucked up, and he really is trying to get past all that. I know he complains a lot about disrespect and harassment when most of the time it's just a mild insult, but the kid shouldn't be ridiculed forever because of this. Every admin has fucked up, some more than others and he shouldn't have the entire JB community at his throat because he was an awful admin. It's not for everyone and I think he learned that.
 
The kid is like 11 or 12 if I remember correctly and we were all little shits back then, but the thing is we all grow up. I played JB today, and he was on as well. the amount of shit he gets from a majority of players is ridiculous. I get CT's gun planting T's when he is warden, everyone shouting "FREEKILL!" whenever he kills someone, and I honestly feel terrible for him. At first I didn't give a shit because he annoyed the hell out of me with the entire admin abuse situation, but all these little things are gonna keep adding up. I know we all say something like "It's the Internet, if you can't handle it get off" but the matter of the fact is, he can't play his favorite game because of a fuck up. People like SlyFox shit on Matthew at every possible moment and SlyFox has his bad (terrible) days too. 
 
All in all, Matthew fucked up, we all know that. But he's still so young, and he shouldn't get all this hate after the situation has ended. If I was in his place back when i was 13 or 14, I know that would've really fucked me up mentally with all those little insults whenever I got on. 99% of the time, when he gets insulted its nothing major and something we all experience when someone gets mad at us, but he gets this constantly (At least when I'm on). I know you were doing it for fun and whatnot, but don't push the kid's button. He was a awful admin, but he really is a decent player in the community. Like I said, it's not just you, but when an admin does what you did, it sets an example to the rest of the regulars and people playing that it's okay to do what you're doing.

Sometimes this killwhore named Afro gets on JB and tells people to go to his red marker but he places both a green and red, killing everyone that didn't hear him correctly (because he's already hard to hear). He gets a lot of people, especially at busy times when assholes are talking over warden.

There really isn't a need for racist comments anyways. Why go out of your way to say something, unless the purpose is to piss somebody off? Especially in today's time, where the slightest comment gets you fired, like that one commencement speaker who said, "Look, all the black people are leaving". It shouldn't be tolerated at all, if admins aren't doing their job to keep the gaming experience fun for everyone, then something needs to change. Likewise, if I get called some racial Arab slur, I'm not gonna sit there and take it, if its incessant. Hell, Will always sends me funny ass, but racist Arab stuff over steam. I don't get butthurt because I know where his heart is. 

To sum up:
> Don't be an asshole by using racial slurs to stir up drama
> If admins aren't enforcing the rules, report them
> If somebody asks you to stop using a phrase or word, stop. I work 10 hours a day during the week, the last thing I want is some asshole shifting the focus from JB or TTT to some race war

There's no point of editing the server crashing script, its there for a reason every server has some version of it because gmod is broken until it is fixed it has to stay there. It's on vanilla too but it hardly every occurs with default vanilla unless someone is like right under a c4.

Main reason the server died the first time was because it took a ridiculous amount of time to download all bloated crap we put on the server and all the regulars who kept it populated decided to take a break at the same time, no one wants to join a dead server that takes 5 minutes to download stuff
And TTT had already died and had been pretty much completely dead for 6 months when I started Vanilla in like may/june last year so I know for a fact that didn't cause any players to lose interest.
The server started completely out of luck because I noticed at the time there was 2 or 3 other vanilla servers that had popped up in the months before that seemed to do great so I decided to take a stab at it since our server was already dead.

I'm still relatively new to the whole TTT scene and I came in after both were out, so take my opinion for what it is.
All you really have to do is look at why people like vanilla more. I think it may be due any of the following reasons:
Fewer maps to learn
Fewer choices in weapons so less confusing
Lack of downloading
I'm guessing people like less options. But maybe someone more vetted in TTT would have more insight.
Personally I like rebirth more because it isn't crowded and the means less autism. Also a lot less no-balls it seems.

It's purely a problem of admins enforcing rules selectively. If someone is blatantly being racist, or using racist slurs, they should be dealt with. If current sG member admins are not enforcing these rules and letting people slide, staff should be notified of this. However, who the fuck wants to report an admin for not dealing with someone that simply said a racial slur with no racist intention? Obviously it is getting to you, turb, and I understand that. However, it is impossible for us, as staff, to manage every single instance of moderation on our servers. 
 
just to elaborate on how I, personally, view our 'no racism' server rule("Racism is by NO MEANS allowed and will be dealt with harshly after a warning"):
no racist slurs
no racist names
no loophole'esque, beat around the bush racism, in general(ex: ghoul gun names )
 
Every admin has there own interpretation of the rules, because that is how communication(in general) works. Admins should be following the simple warn/kick/ban procedure. If they are not, please feel free to bring it up with one of our staff members. 
 
A lot of the posts in this thread is straight up spam and trolling, unfortunately. If you wanted to avoid that, you should have posted in the complaint department(bringing up specific evidence of what you are saying). However, the way you type your comments about this subject completely eggs on the 'trolls' in this community. You, often times, bring it upon yourself. Nontheless, this was the right section to post something of this nature. (or a PM to staff would have gained a bit more traction on a more serious note, but it behooves you to portray your position on the matter in a more serious and polite manner, instead of literally flaming our community)

He's right. I've brought it up to eddy before. No one really cares to enforce this rule. People get away with the n word for the most part because no one wants to be that admin who bans a player for saying it once. No one keeps track of the kicks and the warnings. 
See the above post? Most of the time it's fine, who cares. 
Why have the damn rule if you're not going to go all out enforcing it?
Does the rule only exist to combat slurs when it suits people?
