  1. Posted at 3 am so I couldn't give much depth or thought to the reasoning.

Official servers wipe bi-weekly, partly to prevent huge castles and partly to freshen up the environment and level the playing field for newcomers and veterans alike. Official servers are usually decently populated, if not highly. Higher population size = more competition for resources -- generally you don't run around and gather 30k of each resource in one trip like you do in our server. This means that bases are usually smaller than the ones on our server. Takeaway: getting to lategame rust is highly accelerated in our server and bases will be much larger (harder to raid).

Higher population size also means that your base will be raided more often. With a low pop server, less people will hinder your base's growth and Rust basically becomes Castle Building Sim 2016. Raiding is highly discouraged as nearly all 6 players on the map have the resources to wall off their base 10-fold, each layer costing a whole lot more time to tackle than to create. With the usual players on a stand-off, who else is there to raid but the random stray person or pair to happen upon our server? We encourage picking on the small with these huge bases.

With a weekly wipe, our casuals will at least have something to do after the first week besides bullying the players who started late. Raiding eachother will be substantially easier and also much more rewarding as every newly gained gun or resource is valued a whole lot more when you don't have a huge stash of both.

    every day

on a serious note, I feel once every 2 weeks is fine

Shaddap, you refuse to play with me =[

Two weeks is hell, it's been 2 weeks since the last wipe and ever since last week it's been the same shit, different day. I'm actually at the point of procrastinating logging in the server -- there really isn't much more to do with this seed. A new seed freshens up the experience a hundredfold.

Won't even matter because I get shot in the face by Rootbeer before I can even bandage myself :(

Wow!!! You/someone shot at my house immediately before that! I was scared okay.

  4. A handful of maps with objectives to spice up the maplist wouldn't necessarily be needed but I think it's always neat to spice things up. It'll be like playing hangumlow every once in a while when we only play d2, office, nuke, etc on war3. Of course what this means is we're going to need someone to create these new maps.

Idea1: Innocent/Detective's objective is to escape, but the electricity for the escape tunnel is down. A main room with a screen is powered by fuel, randomly scattered around the map, that people can pick up and turn in to the screen's computer. Only by powering up the screen will it momentarily reveal a switch or reveal and spawn a breakable object on the map that innocents need to hit to proceed. Randomize the switches, require 3 switches turned on, and baby we got a scavenger hunt to go on. Traitors trait as usual.

    Idea2: I don't have an idea2.

  5. Should probs clarify that the LR listed as "one bullet in" LR sounds extremely like United Nations day, in which the T's are KOS if they pull out the gun. IDK if the OP forgot to include that or UN day has devolved into something weird but people could confuse the two.

As evident by the people wanting bigger stacks because fuck giving people a chance to rebuild we need to stock pile resources so we can dominate everyone who attempts to build on "my server"

It's the opposite really, if we wanted to stockpile resources then we'd just build more large chests. More inventory size = less time returning to base and out there in the field gathering resources to build/upgrade your base.

i'm still open to new mods or ideas

One mod that I really dig is a leveling system for gathering and crafting. It's pretty simple: you level up woodcutting by chopping wood, mining by mining ores, and skinning by gathering from dead bodies. You gain a tiny fraction more resource per swing if you have a higher level. I'm all for vanilla servers and balance but this mod really gives an extra level of satisfaction for actually putting in the time to gathering materials and with proper gain/level values it could be pretty balanced.

Oh and I'm also gonna come back and set up a base so that I can raid Narwhals.

I kinda wish it was harder to get tho.. at least until there's more people. That way it's not everyone you run into has one... The servers a few days old and most people are running around fully equipped with pretty strong bases. It's a real turn off to new players imo... Oh well, can't wait until the server wipe.

I do agree that bolts and AKs being airdropped in the first few hours of the game was pretty annoying -- whoever got the first crate likely got the next few ones. After that first day of just 3 friends chopping shit down and setting up camp though, our base was raid-proof, barring anyone getting lucky enough to find c4. I find the game is a lot more fun if you're teamed up with someone since making shit goes by so much faster; it's the reason val's group has so much shit since they have 6'ish members actively doing things.

  9. Jeannie, smh. I was inclined to just say fuckit, forget everything I said as I was reading your posts. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that there's some social interaction immaturity going on (and there's nothing wrong with that) that makes you say some of the things that you say, be it annoying shit or racism, but if you're to stay then you need to learn to hold those back. I also think you need to stop posting as now I'm looking bad defending you -- you aren't really helping your case. Just take a break from the forums, the server, as it seems whatever is emotionally affecting you hasn't 100% completely passed. If you are unbanned, you'd be on thin ice and a fuckup may or may not revert the ban.

I understand that video games are an escape from life but don't bring the negativity from yours into the server when you do, otherwise shit like this happens. A point that I forgot to mention in my earlier post was that we don't know what it is you could be going through in life, I always give the benefit of the doubt for weird behavior but others might not.

  10. Man, I like colors too but I had to ctrl-A on the text to actually read yellow on white.

I generally like to place a lot of trust in the T's -- that's where the games get really interesting. The most extreme example of this would be "bet'cha won't pull that m'fukkin trigger" but can include vent temptation or something relating to t's having a gun. Toss one of these games in between the map games and noone will mind you being a warden.
