Apparently some people were mad a few days ago...

And for this, I am sincerely SORRY!

The irony being it takes you weeks just to get your feelings checked. Pretty sure by the time you're admitted we'll be in the quarterfinals of the 2018 winter olympics.

America's response;

WE HAVE THREE MORE MEDALS THAN YOU DESPITE INJURIES/BAD PERFORMANCES BY OUR BEST

I have no idea why this is still bolded. I'm going to sleep.

They just mad that they lost to Finland 5-0.

Really sad Finland didn't beat Sweden after upsetting the Russians. Sweden just looked flat against Canada. I was hoping for better Gold/Bronze games :l

I still have no idea where you heard this. It's seeming more and more like you're chatting balls.

Data and personal experiences. There's numerous studies where it's been shown Canada has a higher wait time for appointments, surgeries and other health related needs. Research it instead of just popping in with the "chatting balls" comment. Personal experience wise, there's a large population of snow birds in Florida that i've known for years as well as family I have that lives in Canada. In the case of one of them, he was put on a waitlist for surgery regarding cancer and the waitlist was up to a year. The only reason he lived was because of connections(I.E., son that's a Canadian doctor) that allowed him to bump up ahead of a few people and get it earlier than he would have. Then you've also got the cases where thousands of Canadians on said waitlists go out of country for care and pay because it's much quicker than staying for free surgery in their own country.

That being said, my comment was an exaggerated joke about waiting times for a checkup. It obviously wouldn't take you four years to get checked by a doctor in any country if it was a simple thing.

You say personal experience, but really, as a Canadian one would think my experience is more relevant. I haven't had to wait more than 2 weeks to see a specialist for any issue, be it big (concerns about overweight health about 4 years ago) or small (concerns about levels of HDL cholesterol after 60 pounds of weight loss). All was scheduled efficiently.

Your personal experience is about as valid as if I said, "As a Canadian with a single American relative, I had to wait a year to have my cancer treated when I was in America."

It took my father 2 years to become a Canadian citizen after he moved here from Guatemala in the 70s. He had a very, very serious back injury shortly after that for which he had to take a lot of medication. He was treated immediately, despite being a piece of shit immigrant who couldn't get a good job outside of physical labour. That's when he decided it was a good choice to come over with his aunt. My mother, who is over 50 at this point, hasn't waited more than 3 weeks to see a specialist about joint pains. This is to say that age doesn't make a difference.

It might be different in Quebec considering we pay higher taxes than other provinces in Canada, but the point remains the same: Through my perspective, having been poor all my life, having the family claim bankruptcy three times throughout our lives, and still being in a tough economic situation at the moment, we were seen and treated for all of our issues, illnesses, and even inquiries with the utmost efficiency. So you'll excuse me if I believe anything you say regarding Canadian medicare is absolute bullshit considering it's saved our lives on more than a single occasion.

America has waiting lists for surgeries as well.

I'd also like to ask why you're arguing with a Canadian about his own country. Why?!?!

My friend had to wait months for various dental bs to be done. I've heard multiple reports of people having to wait weeks to months for things. 4 years was clearly an exaggeration, but you guys do have to wait a long time for basic shit, and you end up paying for it through taxes anyway, so it's nothing to really brag about.

I'm just going to say, maybe if you live in bumfuck nowhere, it takes you weeks or months.  But I know in Toronto, I don't have to wait for shit.

Wait time under a month, usually under a week.

It doesn't hurt that we have specialists for everything in the city.  Also walk-in's are nice.   Sore throat?  Just go to the walk in.   Then again, the reason shit takes so long, is because "oh I have a cold, lets go get a throat culture done, and while we are at it, lets get x-rays for no reason and this and that.....

Also:  Capped internet:  what?   The smaller providers have been pushing the big ones to provide better service for less.  (Thankfully).   We have the same options you guys do.....

I think he was referring to Poland, not Canada.
