So, on TTT Sportsteen doesn't do his job, or at least he does it poorly. Yesterday, I did deserve to get slayed by him, but the past 3 rounds I was complaining about being RDM'd, I did it several rounds before too that same day and he didn't do anything about it. Today he banned my friend for no reason, while he was in the middle of typing, and I complained about being RDM'd twice after he got banned, and he ignored them completely.

Can I get a ban on Beerman for spoiling the movie?

PM if someone needs a fifth member.
Would be cool if we did a 1 on 1 aim map tournament for those spots to be honest.

So these are the type of people who inhabit the vanilla servers. The average intelligence of that sever is so much lower than the old custom one, shame.

Maybe they are still talking about it because of how wrong you are.
 
First, you don't need special equipment to carry out a DoS. DoS attacks can be done several ways. I think the way you are thinking is to have a very fast internet connection and saturate a servers connection by shear bandwidth. Usually pure bandwidth attacks are DDoS which is distributed and using a botnet(multiple spread out computers/servers usually infected). However, there are other ways for single machine to do a DoS which involve vulnerabilities in software or hardware. The only equipment you need is a computer and internet line.
 
Second, we are not unprotected. Our host provider has very fast connections to handle bandwidth saturation by DDoS and also has network hardware appliances to filter out other types of attacks and attempt to block some DDoS coming in so it doesn't reach the servers. The reason we picked this host is because of that protection. We don't need some white knight admin constantly on the server waiting to defend the server from the evil script kiddie. We have(or our host has) a big ol'e box with a bunch of wires connected to it and Arbor Networks written on it.
 
Third, I have no idea why you think not having an admin on would make someone want to commence an attack. Normal attacks come from pissed off children with mommy and daddies credit card that got banned from the server or they are trolls wanting to show off their e-peen... either way they WANT an ADMIN on. They want to show off or get back so an admin needs to be there. On the flip-side when servers get attacked randomly and there happens to be no admins on I can guarantee they don't give a shit if an admin is on or not. They are either a rival community trying to take down a competitor or they are just attacking the top servers on the browser list. The later is what's prominent in not just gmod but any online games. There are people that look at the most amount of players and go after those server regardless of admins being on or not.
 
So before you go running your mouth how we are unprotected why don't you do some actual research... or at least realize there are people in this community who are not children and have more knowledge then you because they work in industries that have to deal with such attacks on a much bigger scale then a gaming community with game servers.

So the first thing you need to realize is that if you are running an event it's up to you to decide the rules.
 
I'm not sure if you are intending for this to be an sG sponsored event, i.e. sG pays/donates prizes, or if you are just looking for this to be a for fun event that is advertised on our forums/for our members. If it's the former I highly doubt that will happen without an RO or higher being in charge of the event, it's events with prizes that you generally see rules regarding activity added to prevent randoms from popping in and winning the prize. If it's the latter, then it really doesn't matter what you decide to do rule wise regarding activity or being in the clan. As long as the tournament isn't advertising for another clan/server on our forums it should be fine. (Staff should correct me here if I'm wrong.)

Maybe you should get your story straight before filing a complaint. I'm going to take a wild guess and say these are the times that you were kicked and what you said.
 
Sure the restriction part makes sense why you would want to file a complaint, but you clearly were trying to antagonize him. He obviously didn't kick you for saying "ahhahahahaha" like you claim, considering you followed it up with "cry more." And of course you lie later saying you only said he sucks/ahahahah. If anything you were the one crying more about it.
 
Do I think Nixon should have thicker skin? Sure, it's the internet and people are going to be little shits. But it is within his right to warn/punish you under our guidelines if you are going to sit there and try and antagonize him.

I've played Pixelmod a bit in the past and always had a good time with it. Playing with friends of course makes the experience better and more worthwhile.
 
It's a nice change of pace from regular minecraft and I personally would love to see sG host a small little server if other staff and Jason would be willing to.

Currently, we've set up a SyndicateGamers base of operations in our current server "Oblique". I've gone a head and built all available Pixelmon machines, including a heal station, Poke Computer, trade station, fossil cleaner and fossil hatching unit.
 
We are completely set up with, currently, 7 players in our community (including my housemate). All of us are having an amazing time.
 
However, there is a slight issue with lag at peak times on this server. It seems they've upped their player cap from 50, to 100, without having the hardware to suit. During this time the server is a bit of a pain in the arse to do anything on, it's still playable, but can be annoying.
 
I've BRIEFLY (please understand the entirety of this word) spoken to @Jason about this, who is going to have a look at the mod. It would, without a doubt, be a massive improvement on gameplay, if we could source our very own box. I've sent an email to the creator of the server, to try and find out the requirements for a decent box of say, 50-100 players (I can't imagine we'd ever need more). Hopefully I'll have an answer to that this week to give us an idea of what we need, should this ever take flight.
 
EDIT: Also, there seems to be a much larger user base, compared to available servers, so players wouldn't be an issue!
 
@Eddy @ctark And any other engineers, managers etc who have any ideas that could help me here, I'd be greatly appreciative of a PM.
