sounds like someone was a traitor and got killed entering a claimed room and is now pissed and wants to vent his anger somewhere

I still remember the first time I claimed a room I ended up getting karma banned because people don't read the motd and know that claiming is so they just kept on entering :// rip lol
But yeah everyone else above me pretty much summed it up.

i love claiming rooms, it's the only time i can get away with mass rdm as an inno/detective, warned y'all bout running into my single entrance house that has my spray on it with guns on your person, too bad my karma takes a hit too.

Although I have my own reservations about the claiming rule and rarely use it (it often leads to a lot of innocent deaths due to people not paying attention), it does have its benefits. It's a particularly useful way to advance a slow-moving round, and it can give better odds of survival to an inno or group of innos who'd otherwise be unequivocally fucked by the remaining Ts. It can also ferret-out the remaining Ts if all the innos are claiming rooms and the Ts have no choice but to try to take one of them on.
 
 
 

It isn't RDMing if they enter your claimed area, so no one is getting away with RDM..  
 
That's just plain idiotic.
 
The rule states "You may claim a room during Overtime, you must describe the room over voice chat or normal chat", open areas like "I claim outside" aren't allowed.

I believe the rule that states "You may claim a room once it reaches overtime" that lets you get away with RDMing. Some people ignore the chat, some people mute the voice chat, a lot of people do one of these things. So stating you're claiming a "room" which in open areas has unspecified parameters, is stupid and should be removed. If you're in a room and declare it's "yours" over the voice chat, the people who have it muted are vulnerable to being RDMed, with no consequences to the RDMer. The same thing goes for people who either ignore the text chat or have found some way to remove it. The rule has very loose parameters and is available for loopholes which allow anyone to get away with RDMing anyone else, they only have to wait for overtime

Dont mute the voice chat then.
