Which by the way, do you not have enough hours or posts or something to be an L5 or VET?

Rank apps are a pain in the ass.

Also to clarify a few things, I was absolutely demanding admin because due to the ranking formats, I was under the impression that I should have had it. I had ex-SO basic admin privileges (after I stepped down as SO) which aren't officially a thing so it seemed ludicrous to me that someone we have written down on "paper" is suddenly invalid because of how one person feels about it.

Furthermore, I did actively reach out to Lindsay but turns out they're not adviser anymore, so then I reached out to Orange* who then contacted Zach. I created the forum post as a more permanent paper trail to refer to.

EDIT: Cause it wouldn't be a Sith post if I didn't meme

admins a privilege not a right. If the core issue is having active admins on Gmod TTT then that is a separate issue. Maybe sending Zach a message on the forums/steam advising that you were interested in server officer or  at least basic admin so you can help monitor the server would've been a better route instead of making a thread demanding admin, but that's just my opinion. Either way the main issue is finding people who are available/willing to monitor a server.

Also from the few current/former staff members I talked to about this issue all have agreed that admin from ranks has always been only CS:S/CS:GO and not Gmod. I'm sure it would've been better to specify in the rank system which game you got admin or at least saying that admin would be available for both games, that would've solved this issue.

I agree, admin is a privilege. It is a privilege given to L3 and above. If there is an unwritten rule about Gmod being excluded from the basic admin package of L3, then that should either be abolished, or we change the rank to reflect that Gmod L3 members don't get admin.

That's kind of my argument so I'm confused as to whether you're supporting me or attacking my argument.

This evolved to political BS like usual but the fact remains is that there are not enough people moderating Gmod and I am asking to be someone to fill that position as best I can, as I have in the past.

Zach said he will most likely add it back to admins on gmod because of the fact that it needs attention, although he said is currently busy and will check it out tomorrow.

    Sick, thanks.

Yeah, only for CSGO. Zach has said L3 wont get it on GMod.

Since when does Zach's word supersede rank permissions created by the community that we are all a part of?

I don't really care if I get admin off of rank technicalities or because it's the logical thing to do. It's obvious that Gmod needs some attention and all the people who are in the position to do so are neglecting their obligations.

I'm surprised I haven't heard more bitching about "social commentary" and Russo was trying to push political agenda with overpopulation, destroying the planet, wasting resources idea. So given that problem hasn't come up I think it was the better route as people would be more understanding then he is in love with Death. They wanted to portray him as very smart, hurt, and miss-guided in his logic. Being in love with death at best makes him a generic watch the world burn type of villain or at the worst a nut job.

It's weird though since I think if they had him in love death that would be a more easy to accept concept to understand then this whole balance thing.

I disagree, I feel like the more compelling villain is the "well, he's got a point" type of deal. Similar to Killmonger/Magneto/Dr. Doom, most of these villains aren't evil for the sake of being evil, they fight for a rational cause, just like our heroes, however for a more perverted means to an end. Unlike the comics, Thanos doesn't enjoy death, he really believes using the gauntlet is the more merciful approach for saving life by instantaneously wiping out half of the universe. No pain, no ordeal, just poof. And life continues to exist. It's not easy to do, but someone has to do it, and he believes he has the 'will' to.

Honestly, I would have preferred that they removed the whole crumbling in to dust scene and just have half of everyone INSTANTLY gone after Thanos came back from his vision/illusion/whateverthehellitwas with Gamora. I would've preferred coming back to Earth with everyone looking around to see who was still existing. I think it would've added more tension if the audience did a mental roll-call of who won the lottery of Thanos Infinity Snap of Infinity. However, I wouldn't have had that tearjerker with our spider-man fading away so that was a good scene for me.

Yeah that would make sense. Baking off what Centran Said, the twist could be amazing to happen, especially since in the comics, Thanos

does fight alongside the Avengers in some of the comics. I feel like them going to different multiverses is a bit of a lazy escape. It would be more interesting to see them attempt to reason with Thanos on to his Human side and attempt to bring everyone back. It will be fun to see what happens, that is for sure.

But something that I never quite understood- Thanos in the Comics is in love with death, not the salvation of everyone. Why would they alter his character like such? In the comics, he literally is in love with Lady death, and believes no one is deserving to live in the Universe (including himself) and kills everyone and their mothers so lady death would notice his devotion for her.

Would definitely be interesting to see if they are able to reverse everything (or fix) without killing Thanos.

But something that was extremely well done is how Infinity war, thanos is the Protagonist. Its a movie about him, him being the lead character.

I just read an article today that Russo scrapped the whole comic book lore of Death. They decided to go with an overpopulation reasoning than a scorned lover thing, so don't expect her to play a part in this upcoming movie.

From what I understand of the soul Stone, and from the glimpses that we could see from Thanos going to that Red Water dimension, where baby Gamora was waiting for him; I dont think that the people he "Killed" I don't believe are truly dead. The Soul stone is the strongest of the stones, being able to tap into someone's Soul, what makes them a person (Which could Ideally also be used to command the other stones) I think they may have been sucked into the stone, or at least their souls could be trapped there. But what I am curious to know is - Given how Dr. Strange is dead, there is no one else that has the power or knowledge on how to handle an Infinity stone. Those that could (Quill being part Celestial, Strange being Sorcerer Supreme, etc) are dead, or at least unable to fight, and not like they can just pop their hand in the gauntlet, I'm not sure what ingenous plan they'll use to bring everyone back.

Which leads me to the next point; Not sure how good Captain Marvel will be either. She may be able to kick Thano's ass and put up a fight, but its not like she's an alien all knowing being that will know how to command the infinity stones, or even be able to handle them.

Assuming they even handle the gauntlet at all. Remember it got fucked after Thanos did his infinite finger snap of infinity? Looked like the stones cracked as well, maybe they're diminished or out of the picture entirely, I have no idea. I don't think they would include the gauntlet destroying itself if it wasn't relevant.

Not to my knowledge. I could hide some guns though, that shoot you once you walk past a certain point or open a door. :P

Yeah, maybe hide a shotty behind a door or down a corridor so when its triggered by movement, bam thats an insta-kill.

My original thought was a device to make inno's guns shoot involuntarily, creating havoc. On second thought, people may think that persons RDMing... Maybe not a good idea?

  9. How does C4 work in TTT:GO? In GMOD, the higher the timer of the C4, the lower the chances of defusing it without a defuser.

For instance, on a 45 second timer, there's about a 50 percent chance of defusing, three wires out of the 6 will defuse. On a 10 minute timer, only one wire will work.

If that's the case in TTT:GO, we could implement a traitor trap where a long timed C4 spawns in a very obvious and open area. In my experience, some inno/detective will ALWAYS try to defuse a C4, even if it poses no harm. That way when a terrorist tries to defuse it, there's a high probability of it blowing up in an open and potentially crowded area. Even having the C4 there in the first place will alter the traffic of terrorists. I'm sure we'll find that even if the C4 is of no current threat, terrorists will still try to avoid the area, creating more opportunities for T's to pick them off.

    Just an idea.

  10. Also can we discuss how fucked Cyborg's CGi is? I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because I'm sure they had to grab scenes that weren't completely done but look at 00:51: His entire organic face looks garbage... it looks like they just generated his entire face without any template. Now lets jump to 00:46 and 01:55. His original face looks like it was filmed and then the CGI was masked over him, which looks real nice and believable. Again, I'm hoping they'll re-comb through this but knowing Warner Bros, they might fuck it up.

Also, I still don't like Grant Gustin as The Flash. He's not... funny. Like, at all. Batman and Aquaman had more funny lines in this trailer than he's had in his entire career. I hope they write better for him cause he's completely undersold to me as of now.

  11. It looks underwhelming as any other DC universe movie as of late. Wonder Woman doesn't look or sound anything like she really should be, she's supposed to be a disjointed Amazonian detached from modern times, using old-timey language which I hadn't seen in here.

The only thing DC brings to the table is fancy animations and over-the-top fight scenes. For me, that's nowhere near worth the time or money. If I wanted animation and ridiculous fight scenes, I'd watch Netflix or an anime.

  12. Come on guys, relax. This guy brings up good points. It's really hard to play cooperative games and not actively handicap your game experience. While we're implementing these changes I think it's time to add spectator deathmatch and a shop to our vanilla server!
