HLStatsX doesn't work for me, and it never has. Steam itself reads 32 hours, and no more than four of those have been played outside of WCS1.

Complicated story here, by the way. I had played more than 100 hours on WCS1 and Jailbreak on my old account (Steam unique ID "heaveninflames") under several names, although mostly Sharkmage. On my new account, however, I do have the requisite amount of time on server to join.

Have you ever hacked in game before: No. Although sometimes I wish I did, I'm not very good.

About Yourself:

I'm Sharkmage. I'm kind of a know-it-all douche, mostly to feed my own ego, but I'm generally a pretty nice and helpful guy, and I don't give shit to people who don't deserve it. My philosophical outlook is borderline nihilistic, my political affiliation is described on my Facebook as "Pacifistic Mercantilist Meritocrat Socialistic(Marxist) Libertarian". I will be a freshman at Loyola University in the fall, and CS:S is one of the few games I will own. I play exclusively on the WCS1 server, although have spent small amounts of time on ZE, JB, Surf, Rotation, and BHop. I joined the forums originally for the purpose of going for recruitment, and finally got my referral.

And just in case anyone was wondering, my name was inspired by the player named Prophet, who was discussing how he saw some kid on another server whose name was something like PantherFireSwordGunMetal, basically an amalgamation of all the stuff he thought was really cool. So I just stuck two of my favorite things together, Sharks and Sorcery, and became the Sharkmage.

Thank you for applying to Syndicate Gamers.

First off, make sure you're well versed in reporting Abusive Players (ex. Mic Spammers, Admins, Hackers etc...)

• Have to have at least 2 week of forum time and 50 posts

• Have at least 24 hours of playtime on the Syndicate Gamers Servers.

After doing so you will be ready to move on.

The first phase of recruitment requires that you be screened by an Advisor so that higher staff can vote on your application to be accepted into the two week observation period.

I don't know if I'm allowed to respond yet, but "most" is a gross mischaracterization. And sounds like butthurt to me. I'm a jerk, straight up, but I don't do it for any sort of amusement, it's just my personality. Trolling is doing it in order to get pleasure out of the other's response.

I didn't mean to offend any *one* with those posts, since I know plenty of people who play JB and I just don't care that much. I just think Jailbreak, the mod, is stupid.

Question 1: If there was a microphone spammer on the server, how would you deal with it?

Well, I'd nicely and reasonably ask the spammer to stop and show them the error of pissing people off and making their gaming experience less fun. And if that didn't work, I'd spec them, record and upload a demo, and bring it to the attention of the complaint department.

Question 2: In the case of a hacker on the server you are in, what procedure would you follow?

Same with the spammer: spec, demo, upload, complaint department. Of course, I'd need good evidence that they were actually hacking.

Question 3: In the situation that you are being bombarded with people asking if they can join the clan, what would you tell them to do?

I'd say to play the servers, make sure that they really want to, and then join the forums and read up on the recruitment procedures there.

Question 4: Would you consider yourself a mature person? If so, why?

I... can be. I'm easily overexcited, I'm a know it all and a bit of an attention whore, so I can really bad and immature moments. I mean, fart jokes are hilarious. But under pressure, I can stop myself from losing it, and I can do the right thing even when it's hard.

Question 5: Why is it that you want to join the sG community?

I've played WCS1 forever, and the first people I met there basically guaranteed that it would be a daily constant. Reading and posting on the forums has shown this to be one of the better tempered, less restrictive, but more actively responsible groups I've had a pleasure to be a part of. I just love you guys. I'm not precisely sure whether I can express it in any other way than the fun I've had with sG members.

That sounds so gay and sappy as I reread it. But it's still true.

Question 6: Do you fully agree with the terms and conditions specified in the recruitment thread?

Of course.

Question 7: On average, how often will you play on the sG servers and how often will you be on the forums?

Forums, every day, servers, I can't say yet. I'm starting college soon, so I'll play as much as I can but I can't guarantee anything until I've got the flow of things down.

Question 8: How do you think you can be an addition to our growing community? What makes you unique from the other recruits?

I'm a Shark Mage. So I can breathe water through my gills, while shooting fire from my eyeballs - UNDER WATER.

Seriously, what can I say? I'm active, like to discuss, play CS:S, and help out.

Question 9: Would you contribute to discussions made within sG and keep the topics civil?

I can't say I will keep things civil any more than I will make them uncivil, I am an incredibly abrasive person even when I'm trying not to be. Believe me, it's ruined a lot of relationships. I can add my own thoughtful ideas to discussions, and I don't get angry very easily, so I can help out when things go too far.

Question 10: Have you ever been a member in sG before or tried to become one? If so, why did you leave/get denied

Nope. Been waitin' on that Oracion referral for a long time now.
