Summer War3 Event - August 21 to August 31

 

Alright boys and girls… and whatever that thing is behind you. The tyrants…I mean the engineers and I would like to announce the War3 Summer Event starting on August 21th that will go through the week ending on August 31st to celebrate the end of the summer. Unlike the previous Easter and Halloween event before that there will not be eggs or pumpkins but wondrous gold bars instead! Collect them and get rich, but beware the new monsters that guard their hoard…

 

 

Rules

• The sG global guidelines must be followed at all times.
• Staff are not eligible to win prizes (SO’s can win prizes).
• You must have a forum account at www.joinsg.net and not be banned from the servers or the forums at the time of the event in order to be eligible for prizes.
• Do not attempt to loophole these rules, if you are caught doing so, you will be disqualified.
• Do not attempt to cheat or glitch the event.
• Any issues or questions can be sent to me or Face.

 

New Races

 

• Archmage Khadgar is a mage from the World of Warcraft. As in WoW, there are three elemental types for you to choose from. You must commit largely to one element, but you can have one skill from another element. Be sure to read the first skill ("HELP") to try and get a better understanding of how this works.
   
• [K] Rokhan is a Shadow Hunter from the World of Warcraft. Specializing in stealth, this race is highly dependent upon the player sneaking around undetected to get behind the enemy team.
  
   
• Yrel, Velen's Chosen is a paladin from the World of Warcraft. This is a resource-based race that depends on the user using (or storing) Holy Power appropriately.
  
   
• [!] Cho'gall, the Ogre-Magi is a mage/warlock from the World of Warcraft. This is a five-seven only race.
  
   
• Teron'gor is a warlock/death knight from the World of Warcraft. Teron'gor's initial goal is to improve his skills by collecting souls. Once the player has collected what they determine to be an adequate amount, they can transform into his more powerful form: a Death Knight. The power of his skills as a Death Knight is based on the souls he collected before transforming.

 

Useful Commands

• Gold – display your current amount of gold.
• Goldtop10 – display the top 10 players with the most gold.
• skillstats - show your progress in the skill contests

 

 

Contests

• Grenade Whore – Get the most kills with grenades. Ogre Stonethrower, Orc grenades, Ruthless Cluster grenade, and all regular HE grenade, flashbang, and smoke grenade kills. Molotov kills, fire kills and Demon Hunter fire grenade kills do not count. The list that will be added up from skillstats is:  'Unstoppable Force', 'Power Throw', 'criticalnade', 'carpet bomb nades', 'smokegrenade', 'flashbang', 'hegrenade'.
  • Prize: Field Tested Bayonet | Forest DDPAT ($68) generously donated by infested marines
• 10 Awp Wallbang Kills (or 1 awp wallbang headshot on infested marines). There must be at least 10 people playing for these to count. This will be a raffle among those who achieve the kills.
  • Prize: BS StatTrak M4A1-S Hyper Beast ($55) generously donated by infested marines
• ​Most Gold
  • ​Prize: Animated Spray and chosen expertise for race without an expertise.
• ​​​Second Most Gold
  • ​Prize: Animated Spray
• ​500 gold. This will be a raffle among those who get at least 500 gold.
  • ​Prize: FN Desert Eagle Golden Koi ($9.25)
• Most damage with Khadgar's "Deep Freeze" skill
  • Prize: FN P90 Cold Blooded ($3.50)
• Most damage with Khadgar's "Arcane Blast" skill
  • Prize: MW StatTrak AWP Worm God ($6.50)
• Most kills with Terengor's "Impending Doom" skill
  • Prize: MW StatTrak Famas Doomkitty ($1.15) and Doomed Sticker ($1.00)
• Highest level on Rokhan
  • Prize: Silent Ninja Foil Sticker ($3.40)
• Highest level on Chogall
  • Prize: FN StatTrak Five-Seven Nightshade ($1.85)
• Highest level on Yrel
  • Prize: Teamwork Holo Sticker ($2.00)
• ​All of the above winners will receive 10 levelbank levels in addition to the listed prize.

 

During the event there will be 30% bonus experience on the server! This applies with ROTD and map bonus XP as well!

 

You can only win one prize. Prizes will be given out from the top down and if someone has already won a previous prize the prize will be awarded to the second place person. Let me know sooner rather than later if you would rather a prize lower down on the list so I don't give it to the second place person. Race Testers who would like to enter a race level contest let me know so I can reset the relevant stat or skill.

Some will spawn randomly about the map, from those you can get various things (level bank, 1 or more gold bars, items from the shop menu, infinite ammo). A gold bar will also drop on the ground every time a player dies. These just count towards your "gold" count.

So, the skillstats for the last event were not reset. This only effects ogre stonethrower (which you can find the last events skillstats here: http://www.joinsg.net/topic/65627-easter-war3-event/page-2#entry882367) and orc crit nades (which we do not have the last events skillstats for). Every other race is too new to be on the last events skillstats, so they are irrelevant.

 

For the nade-kill challenge, currently epickillerj has a pretty big lead. The only relevant kills he has from last event are 2 "flashbang" kills. As such, epic has a "legitimate" very large lead. If epic wins the grenade challenge, this oversight on our part is irrelevant. If it gets really close between a few people (which I doubt it will, these things are normally won by a decent margin), then we will figure something out.
