    you were permanently banned (as in, longer than 1 year) by a staff member for cheating in one of our servers. whether or not you remember makes no difference to us.

    i'm amused at the question mark you've placed after your ban reason. cheat? as if the concept itself was confusing.

    the eye test violation module of smac does not trigger an automatic ban after only one detection instance.  there is a threshold that must be reached in order to trigger the automatic ban, and the types of cheats that would cause an eye test violation (fov cheats, anti-recoil, nospread) are not easily detectable by humans unless you can get a user to stand still and spray at a wall.

     

    after looking at logs specific to your ban, it appears you were using a nospread cheat.  this is not something that can be erroneously caused by lag or misuse of the console, as it requires the client to specifically tamper with old movement commands in order to manipulate the server.

    15 hours. I believe the amount of attempts in 15 hours would throw a red flag somewhere and prevent them from getting it. 

    password cracking very seldomly involves bruteforcing some active service, and even more rarely is there actually some sort of person paying attention to login services

     

    this is likely talking about how long it would take to crack assuming someone is working on the database itself ala cain and abel

     

    rainbow tables could be even faster

     

     

    Believe it or not, it is actually more secure to use a couple words to form a phrase rather then the complicated "Please include at least one capital letter, a number, and a special character" bullshit.

     

    What's easier to remember?

    hE#8u^t2 - which takes 3 days to crack according to the website

    ILikePurpleTrees - which take 22 billion years to crack according to the website

     

    Length seems to win out and it doesn't matter if you have funky characters in your password. Just make a long password of a phrase you can remember.

    your poll should be something more like "would you be willing to spend 3-4 hours per day in an empty vanilla csgo server for possibly months until the server can maintain a population?"

    otherwise you get what we always get whenever someone makes a server based on straw polling like this: a server that is full for a day, half full for a week, and then completely empty with a bunch of people throwing their hands in the air pretending like they did their best to help out
