The difference in America is that "Nigger" is usually an offensive word, but the word "Nigga" is a term of endearment among black people, usually the ones living a "hiphop lifestyle". "Nigga" is the word you hear rappers saying in their music videos and songs. An older black man not living the "hiphop lifestyle" usually stays away from "niggas", but racial supremacists will label both parties as "niggers"
