Easy heroes:
 
Centaur, Venomancer, Chaos Knight, Lion, Sand King, Skeleton King, Vengeful Spirit, Ogre Magi, Crystal Maiden, Tidehunter, Slardar, Witch Doctor, Lich, Warlock, Axe.
 
Easy heroes but require a bit more skill than above:
 
Windrunner, Slark <----- great heroes. If you're feeling up to it start with these. All of the above, save for a few, are usually support/etc and don't usually go on Rampages.
 
Side note: Slark is perceived as bad by a lot of people because they use bad builds. However, when built correctly, and with a 1-3 level advantage, (try to solo mid) I've found you can easily get a lot of kills and pretty much never die. (See here: http://dotabuff.com/matches/215667359)
