  1. You can't take returned damage from an evaded shot. 20 evades in a row = .00001% chance to happen. Wait, that's ten shots. You didn't hit 20 shots that all got evaded. It just didn't happen. RNG, however, does happen. Get the fuck over it. Night elf has one of the lowest evasion rates on the server, and in order to die from thorns, your two headshots would have had to deal 500 damage, meaning you had to be headshotting with a scout/AWP, in which case you really should realize that reflect is going to hurt you.


  2. Dante rework!

     

    With the change in shopmenu prices, Dante got worse, and everyone is of the opinion that it wasn't good to begin with. As a result, I've made some big changes to the race that should make it more powerful.

     

    1. Critical strike chance gained from style points through the skill Sparda has been doubled, maxing at 40% crit chance at 1000 SP.

    2. I figured out how to make it so his ult works off of kills AND assists - If you get a kill OR an assist during the eight seconds, you will not die at the end.

    3. Ult stats (lifesteal and damage reduction) buffed to 16-30% from 11-20%, cooldown lowered to 30 seconds from 40.

    4. Here's the big one: Added a new skill, Demon Soul:

     

    Demon Soul 5 Levels Your demon blood heals you for 3-7 whenever you take damage. Additionally, upon completing a Blood Rite (Getting a kill/assist with your ultimate active) you gain 6-10 bonus damage for the rest of the round.

     

    5. Blade and Bullet has been lowered to a 5 point skill to keep the max level for the race the same. Its effectiveness at 5 points equals its old effectiveness at 10.

     

    Dante has been restricted from buying Chain and Claws as a result of this change.

     

    Disclaimer: Due to fuck code, implementation is not working as intended. Its new skill IS working but Blade and Bullet still has 10 levels, I'm working on a fix for this.

  3. The big issue here is that two of the strongest shopmenu items unachievable by players who are buying tomes are Periapt and Scroll, and they both stayed on the server. I think the variety of shopmenu was good and it's a big part of the game. Prices can always use balancing (I've always thought claws and chain were a steal at 1k a pop), but having the options there makes the game more involved.


  4. Ult

    1) Opponent can't move

    2) Negates all movement skills, abilities, and invisibility (cause of the big freakin green circle)

    3) Requires no skill to use (is spammable)

    4) Draws a big freakin line to your opponent in case you are camping in a corner and didn't actually see them yet

     

    If your opponent cannot move and you cannot get the kill, you do not deserve to get the kill. "Lucky spray" or not.

     

    The rest of the race seems pretty in line with every other playable race on the server so I cannot possibly imagine this changing night elf except maybe letting the race get less "free kills" which my reaction to that can be summed up as such:

    The problem is aside from this ult it really does have a shitty skillset. Like I said, we'll see.


  5. I looked into the Naix issue but it raised more questions than answers. I'll take a look at the Night Elf issue in a bit, that is weird. If you're able, can you try doing the same thing with Fyndhorn, Keeper of the Grove, etc? Is this an issue with thorns in general or Night Elf specifically?


  6. I'm going to assume this is a War3 question because it doesn't sound like any other server. I'm gonna move this to the War3 section as a result of this. Let me know if this was in error and what game you're referring to.

     

    On War3, the command isn't a console command, but in normal chat, type "!respawn_none".


  7. I'd like to see less level gapping between the 2000 + races.

    I agree with this wholeheartedly. My new races have been being put at points to close the gaps past 2000 to 100 level gaps. From there, I'll either put in 50s or go over 3k depending on how people feel about it

     

    I wouldn't have included the joke poll questions if you wanted the communities honest opinions because I really am a dirty flipflopper who can't stick to one opinion. 

     

    That value point idea sounds interesting but how would it work for things like respawning skills or plus attack damage skills? On top of balancing the race, you would have to balance the actual distribution of skills. Isn't that a little too much work?

    Value point on respawning would be something along the lines of this made up skill:
     
    Flames of the Phoenix (6 Levels) - You invoke the power of the phoenix, giving you a chance to rise from the ashes on death. Grants a (50/60/70/80/90/100)% respawn chance.
     
    The first point gives 50% chance to respawn, while later points only grant 10%. This motivates the player to put one point into the skill early before maxing any other more desirable skills.
