Amazon Shipment "Issue"

Alright, so I ordered a 4TB HDD (for porn obviously) on Friday for Saturday delivery. It was never delievered and I let them know and they said they would look into it (never heard back from them). Come Monday I called them and let them know and they gave me a refund of the shipping costs and sent out another HDD for me as they were investigating why it was missing.

 

So the missing package appeared out of nowhere today and the other one is on its way. Has anyone had any experience with this happening? Will they contact me to return it?

Same thing happened when I tried to get iAlwaysfail to ship me something I couldnt get outside of the UK. Ended up dealing with an ebay user and the package was late so i said it might be lost in shipping. 2 days later I've got my package and a full refund.FREE PRODUCTS FTW

also, sidenote: reporting packages as missing to UPS gets u put on a list that requires all future delivery to be signed upon delivery.

Well, anything mailed to you is legally yours... but I think that might only be of the USPS. Don't know how it works for shippers. Plus there might be some clause or something in the ToS of Amazon or your agreement to receive a replacement.

Well that's kind of true, Amazon didn't ever give the package to Fedex and that's why it was late. It was lost in transition to FedEx according to them.

This has happened to me way too many times. I ordered a Texas Rangers jacket a couple of years ago and a month went by with no package. I called up MLB and they decided to resend it to me. A few days later I get two packages: one with the resent jacket AND the original package that had TWO jackets instead of one. Let's just say that my Christmas shopping for my dad was done early that year haha. Never heard from them about it either.

I have prime and buy tons of shit from amazon and never had a problem. My grandma bought like some 300 dollar fireplace insert a while ago and 2 ended up on her doorstep with the exact same shipping number. They never contacted her and she got to keep both, I would keep it for a while if they don't contact you then it you are good.

My in laws bought me an xbox one game for my birthday a few months ago. They sent it to our old place, and ups just left it on the doorstep of an empty place (my in laws forgot to put a unit number, so ups looked up our last known address). They sent another, and did the same thing. We figured it out, went and picked them both up, and took one to Walmart for in-store credit....So now I can buy another game when something good comes out...

 

So for you, it may be a bit harder but maybe best buy or some other computer place would take it....Or if you need 8 TB you can have 8 TB....

Well then you go talk to the postmaster who will then contact a postal inspector. The USPS actually has it's own law enforcement agency.
