Lv. 100 Crobat 1325 Posted June 3, 2014 This afternoon an earthquake of 5 degrees on the Richter scale was felt strongly in Lima, Ica and other regions. It happened exactly at 4:34 pm and its epicenter was located just 41 miles west of Chilca, Cañete. According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), the center of the quake was under the sea and the phenomenon is most strongly felt in Lima, where the intensity reached grade IV on the Mercalli scale. The Tsunami Warning Center Pacific did not issue any warning. Sources Trade realized that the phenomenon was also felt in Ica.
