centran 4457 Posted November 28, 2010 Never buy a Hanns-G. I bought one. Built in speakers never work. DVI stopped working(VGA was fine). Sent it in to be fixed and they sent it back saying it was fixed.... it wasn't

tappeddarkman 3 Posted November 28, 2010 i also would not buy that monitor.. i wanted to buy the exact one but the reviews are shit. they say it dies, and the tech support wont help. and the warranty doesnt exist. here are some monitors i was looking at. all are 27" but only 1920x1080.HP 2710mhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176160Samsung p2770fhhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001431SAMSUNG P2770HDhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001392Acer B273Hbmidhzhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009250Acer S273HLbmiihttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009276i would go for a 6870 gpu. it is a bit more money but....your new case looks fine. it has better airflow. and maybe you can overclock your cpu. Kelso 4 Posted November 28, 2010 Never buy a Hanns-G. I bought one. Built in speakers never work. DVI stopped working(VGA was fine). Sent it in to be fixed and they sent it back saying it was fixed.... it wasn'tthe model you picked also isnt 2ms, it has a bad contrast ratio and 28" is overkill.22" is plenty, @ 28" you'd probably just be unnecessarily stressing your system.case and psu are good. both are solid companies . Dyscivist 5686 Posted November 28, 2010 Get an IPS panel monitor like a Dell unless you want everything to look like shit. Also bigger =/= better.Case and PSU are both good.I'd get a 6850 or a 6870 over a 5850.
Lazzy 0 Posted November 28, 2010 Meh. XFX Graphics cards are odd. Mine has never given me a problem, but I've heard a lot of bad things about them. The monitor is just too large xD22 inches is enough
tappeddarkman 3 Posted November 28, 2010 all of dells monitors are way overpriced. and only the 24" or less monitors are under 1000 bucks. who would spend $1000+ on a monitor that you are gonna game on? maybe if your a graphic designer, but otherwise no. For beautiful graphics. If you have beautiful graphics and a monitor that looks like garbage you are wasting your money. They're not overpriced at all for the quality of product being given. If anything the shitty TN panel manufacturers are overpricing their junk.I got my Ultrasharp U2311H for 200$ on sale at the Dell website and after using TN panels all my life I can honestly say that it's beautiful. tappeddarkman 3 Posted November 29, 2010 yea that U2311H is a nice 23" monitor. but he already has a 22" monitor so going to a 23" monitor isnt worth it. anything bigger is $1000+, and that would be a waste of money. its not going to look like shit, maybe not as good as a ips. but if your not doing anything crazy you wont notice. Contract Killer 24 Posted November 29, 2010 So can anyone link me a specific video card $200 or under? And a monitor under $400?EDIT: I forget to mention about the monitor, I would buy it used from my friend, he had it for around 6 months, and I'd get it for $150-200. Nothing is wrong with it, I've seen it plenty of times, he just wants to sell his 60" tv and monitor and get a 37" for both. Also, I would not use the built in speakers, as I have bose. Does that change anything?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236091What about that one?or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001392
Clay 24 Posted November 29, 2010 I like the case, a lot. I love my HAF.
tappeddarkman 3 Posted November 29, 2010 i mentioned that samsung before but if you get that asus you could eyefinity later on(display port). both monitors look fine. but with a $200 limit on a gpu, you might have problems. i would get that 5850 or a 6870, nothing less. ChosenOne2000 4440 Posted November 30, 2010 If you are going w/ eyefinity and you play fps you WANT 3 monitors. If not your crosshair will be between the bezzels
tappeddarkman 3 Posted November 30, 2010 Thats why i mentioned the displayport. if you only have 2 monitors you can use the 2 dvi's.
