KGameLover1 1306 Posted June 19, 2013 Meh. I'm glad they changed this. Now it all comes down to the games - and right now, for me, the X1 is winning. (Still buying both, it's a question of which I buy first.) 2 water.exe and Prosak reacted to this

Don Danzone 410 Posted June 19, 2013 I have the feeling they listened to their users a few days/weeks to late... they should have presented this at E3...
SexyBatman 705 Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) They should have done this from the beginning, no excuse for even having any of those "features."Also I find it kinda funny after a week of them trying to justify all the drm and shit, they just go ahead and pull the plug. KGameLover1 1306 Posted June 19, 2013 But is the kinect still requiredwe'll see but I honestly doubt it.If it doesn't, no problem. Just throw a fucking towel over top of it if you're so worried.
L_Bacon 22 Posted June 19, 2013 I feel like this would be such a pain to try to change in their software or is it actually a pretty easy thing to fix?
Ghost X 710 Posted June 19, 2013 It's a bit late, but it's good of them to admit mistakes and correct them.
ElectronicDrug 7496 Posted June 19, 2013 It'll take a lot of work to 180 the development. Luckily it'll also be less work for them in certain areas
TurtleFrenzy 2612 Posted June 19, 2013 I feel like this would be such a pain to try to change in their software or is it actually a pretty easy thing to fix?I wouldn't think the WHOLE SYSTEM would revolve around the DRM, rather it was a preference they chose to take.Well, I still think it's too late for Xbox. They may have brought back a few people who previously were Xbox fans, but those who were on the fence have pretty much made their mind already with how the E3 performances went. At least they -finally- realized how much they screwed up.

Jiyeon 369 Posted June 19, 2013 This is a huge plus for them. Not necessarily too late, but I feel like they would have had a lot more buyers right off the bat if they did this initially.
Ethan 63 Posted June 19, 2013 Still a lot of kids with rich parents will be getting them. It isn't even close to "over" for Xbox, they just might not beat the PS4 in sales. 1 Goldentongue reacted to this

Arrkham 291 Posted June 20, 2013 I thought that either Microsoft would take the risk and leave it how it was, or change it to how it is now. Glad they changed it, cause now I will be buying one.
Siesan 1802 Posted June 20, 2013 (edited) The problems with the Xbone are as follows:1. shitty shovelware exclusives2. 2 or 3 actual good exclusives3. Praises itself off of things that have already been done4. "the next watercooler"5. always-on camera when Xbone is online from the guys who supported prism (see, 1984)6. support in 21 or so countries (not including Japan or Poland)6.5: Witcher 3 devs can't develop for Xbone because they live in Poland7. trying too hard to make xbox live into a steam competitor8. Microsoft employees advertising the Xbone at best buys during nintendo's best buy events9. the fact they used computers with windows 7 (lel) for all the playable demos at E310. their "share among 10 family members" thing was scrapped in favor of PR MS went into full force damage control and it's turning out to be a PR nightmare. The Xbone itself doesn't look promising, and most of it's good games are multiplats i can buy on either the PS4 or Steam. Microsoft what are you doing?
