  1. Probably The Cabin in the Woods

Not because it is necessarily creepy or scary, but because it is a brilliant movie that simultaneously embraces and subverts cliched/loved/hated horror movie tropes.

TCITW is scary, funny, smart, pretty unique, and filled to the brim with Easter eggs.

If you haven't seen it please give it a watch!

here is a list of references and Easter eggs *SPOILERS*:

It's the highest grossing film by a black director. The cast is predominately black. First black superhero with their own movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We can go on and on about the racial boundaries that were broken.

Look I know that it is somewhat narrow minded of me, but it is a Marvel movie...MEANING that it would be almost guaranteed to become the highest grossing film by *insert minority group here*. It is a Marvel movie, and Marvel movies are designed from the ground up to sell. Black panther was not the best super hero movie to come out in the past decade, much less the past year. However, that is just my humble opinion.

By the way, this is not really me disagreeing with whether or not any racial boundaries were broken. More of a sidebar stating that the Marvel properties are just a license to print money for Disney.

  4. Mind helping me compile a list of good ski movies?

Preferably full movies available on YouTube, but movies for purchase/rent are appreciated as well!

I am heading west in two weeks and the group that I ski with enjoys watching ski movies after we...ski.

The Art of Flight might be my favorite overall movie (even if it follows boarders PJSalt) and McConkey is a fantastic film chronicling the rise of a man that revolutionized big mountain skiing.

Here are some that I have:

So cute, I grew up with goldens I need to get another one soon. Seriously the best dogs

I have had them my entire life, they really are the best!

This is my newest Golden, Grace. The picture is taken a few hours after she got loose in the yard during a torrential downpour, she looks like she belongs in one of those ASPCA commercials. I can already hear that Sarah McLachlan song...

  6. Well, Baba Yaga is back and ready to add to his already ridiculous body count*!

The first movie is easily one of my favorite revenge movies and I can't wait to see the new ridiculous heights we well reach in Chapter 3.

Thanks to Keanu's innate physical gifts in addition to a top tier choreography team, the John Wick (and Mission Impossible) films continue to ruin other action movies with their smooth long(er) take action scenes. If you want to see some of Keanu's training footage, check this out. The dude can really shred on a range!

    Dude man has 204 kills...

i'm curious to hear, what are your top 3 favorite movies and your favorite scene from each? they don't need to be in any particular order

    That is fucking TOUGH

My favorite movie might be Kill Bill Vol. 1

The long take before the fight with the crazy 88's is one of my favorite scenes!

2nd Favorite is probably Inglorious Basterds with the bar rendezvous being my favorite scene.

Using the Germanic "3" as a tell was pretty fantastic and as is the case with any Tarantino film, the dialogue is on point!

Tied for 3rd place would be Sicario or Aliens.

The combat drop from Aliens gets me pumped every time "ABSOLUTELY BADASSES"

Honorable mentions: Platoon, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, John Wick, The Martian, Goldeneye, The Great Escape, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
