This really shouldn't be a thing when there's less than five or ten people on the server. Quite a few times we've had three or four people on just goofing around and it gets pretty irritating. Mic spam isn't much of a problem with that low of a pop. Tried to teach a friend the game the other day in intervals of 5 seconds. I made it work, but damn was it annoying.

hahahaha, it's incredible that people think he's hacking. It's like not even a question that he's not. If he is, he sure as hell isn't at all using it to his advantage hahah.
At the infamous 3:08 moment, that's not at all indicative of anything hah. Before reading the transcript, it just looked to me like he's like ohshitohshitohshit, which is exactly what it was haha. It makes no sense that he'd be like, oh, I see a ton of CTs coming, let me shoot through the concrete with my elites. Ridic.
ahah, why do you think he's hacking because of this? He doesn't even really aim at targets coming up. He just shakes his mouse around shooting frantically. Honestly, his whole play style during the demo is that of someone fucking around. He's not like tryin' to make the WCS tourney.

Never upgrade Windows. The subject of the thread implies that you're going to reformat, as you should. Just back the files up on some DVDs/USB sticks/flash memory/portable HDD/whatever, and reformat that bitch to W7.

That's only if you have another computer, and it's a pretty crappy way to backup stuff, but it does work.

^haha, exactly. There is zero doubt in my mind that he's not a hacker. I've seen hundreds, and he's not one. If someone's hacking, it's almost always extremely obvious. The times that it's not, the person is typically a good CS player in their own right, so they know how to hide it very well so that no one will ever know.

I have used it, and it took forever. Way longer than a portable HDD. A fancy program isn't needed for such a simple task.

hahah okay, let me explain it in more detail. You're using a relatively small coincidence to see what you want to see. The reason I say relatively is because what about the tens of other times in the demo where he turns away from people that he could clearly see if he were wallhacking?
An example is shortly after the disputed moment of 3:08 where he could actually barely see the CT, yet turns away because he just missed him. He definitely wouldn't have missed him if he were walling. Why use one instance where he's barely even aiming at a guy as evidence that he's hacking? It's flawed supposition stemming from a subjective viewpoint. There're many more times where he could use wallhacking to his advantage than supposedly tracking a guy protected by feet of virtual concrete.

Yeah, I guess it's the easiest way if you don't know how to network a pair of computers and don't have a portable storage device.

haha, that's assuming he is hacking. The much more obvious answer is that he's not hacking. What hacker would play the same server for 2.5 years to get 2500 levels? That'd be silly.
And it's not just his aiming that shows he's not hacking. It's his entire play style.

Anyway, yeah, apparently there's a group of them that do this. I'd have posted the information sooner, but it's meaningless, as they probably switch accounts regularly.

Just go to :\Steamfolder\steamapps\accountname\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg and delete your cfgs. That'll fix it.

You can't be sent a trojan by being connected to a CS server. All their hacks are in the form of editing the settings within the game.

To fix that, type mat_bumpmap 1 in console.

Delete your cfg files and type mat_bumpmap 1 in console.

No prob.
