    It is done. After many weeks of hardship and difficulty it brings me great pleasure to announce the fall of Matthew. This "man" has managed to cause great harm to our society, and for that he had to pay. Let this be a lesson for all those 12 year old admin abuser out there. You may be able to avoid the ban hammer once or twice, but mark my words... you will be vanquished. Let us cheer to this marvelous day.

    Well while we were having our fun before I even did anything he was complaining about admin abuse, so then I burned and slapped him next round. Staff gave him exactly what he wanted, to be made out a victim when nothing was done to even really ruin his round then to have me get "punished". He got exactly what he wanted.

    I mean, you had to have known he was going to report you B-cock :P

     

    But in all seriousness, Staff has been doing a good job in letting Matthew know that they don't want to hear everyone single minuscule complaint. Driz has told Matthew multiple times that he needs to learn to take the insults better instead of reporting it every time. The only case he has gotten someone banned (besides mfk) was when he reported Chickens, but that was for a different reason anyway.

     

    Obviously, if that was me who you burned I wouldn't have given two shits, but everyone is different. Whether you did it to him just because of who he is, is something no one will know besides you. While obviously there are times he gets insulted just because it's trash-talk in-game, he does get ridiculed because of his past (i.e. SlyFox)

    A week after he got his admin removed he was pretty bad with the complaining, but this last week and today specifically I haven't seen a real reason to why he gets shit on. SlyFox usually is the one who starts it and all, and maybe his actions are the reason why it seems to happen constantly, but I don't know. Before he got admin, Matthew was a very decent player who got along with others.

    I know the kid pisses you off, he got on everyone's nerves when he was admin. He knows he fucked up, and he really is trying to get past all that. I know he complains a lot about disrespect and harassment when most of the time it's just a mild insult, but the kid shouldn't be ridiculed forever because of this. Every admin has fucked up, some more than others and he shouldn't have the entire JB community at his throat because he was an awful admin. It's not for everyone and I think he learned that.

     

    The kid is like 11 or 12 if I remember correctly and we were all little shits back then, but the thing is we all grow up. I played JB today, and he was on as well. the amount of shit he gets from a majority of players is ridiculous. I get CT's gun planting T's when he is warden, everyone shouting "FREEKILL!" whenever he kills someone, and I honestly feel terrible for him. At first I didn't give a shit because he annoyed the hell out of me with the entire admin abuse situation, but all these little things are gonna keep adding up. I know we all say something like "It's the Internet, if you can't handle it get off" but the matter of the fact is, he can't play his favorite game because of a fuck up. People like SlyFox shit on Matthew at every possible moment and SlyFox has his bad (terrible) days too. 

     

    All in all, Matthew fucked up, we all know that. But he's still so young, and he shouldn't get all this hate after the situation has ended. If I was in his place back when i was 13 or 14, I know that would've really fucked me up mentally with all those little insults whenever I got on. 99% of the time, when he gets insulted its nothing major and something we all experience when someone gets mad at us, but he gets this constantly (At least when I'm on). I know you were doing it for fun and whatnot, but don't push the kid's button. He was a awful admin, but he really is a decent player in the community. Like I said, it's not just you, but when an admin does what you did, it sets an example to the rest of the regulars and people playing that it's okay to do what you're doing.

    I think it's just because of his previous fuck up; he is on a really thin line now. 

    Definitely think 6 hours was a bit extreme but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I believe when used in certain context the word is completely fine. But when it's used to harass that's a different story. If you ever feel that people are using that word to harass you and you feel attacked you can simply mute them. Other than that, in this modern age, that word has become a part of [American] colloquialism.

    The best part is that Matthew had already posted in the thread multiple times, and one of his two posts (he even double posted in the CD....) was replying to Eddy asking someone to let Matthew know about the thread haha. I mean I get he was trying to help - but again, the rules of the CD are kind of stupid (IMO).

     

    The complaints are not private/locked to people outside of the complaint... Honestly, I think anyone (Especially Veteran level clan members or SOs) that has stuff to contribute should be allowed to post as the current system stands. For example, I have had similar run-ins with Matthew, and as an SO should be able to bring this up in the CD so that they know that it is not just a one time thing. I don't have evidence, but as "a form of staff" as they say we are, I don't see why we can't add in our two cents when it involves the serve we help manage.

     

    IMO Matthew shouldn't have his admin removed, he's typically an alright kid. People egg him on, which we do need to help stop, but he also has to grow a pair and realize even though he has admin, this is still the internet, and he's a little kid and will occasionally be the target of people. As Mark said, he needs to not take what one SO told him for one circumstance as a "rule above all others" if you will. Where he doesn't even try to use common sense, or listen to other admins (Whether they be SO's or not, other admins should be able to help calm a situation).

    I completely agree. I've told someone before that I like him as a player, but not so much as an admin. I even posted on the CD that a talk about his powers is all that should be needed. What upset me most was that he said he could kick people and and server admins (including SO) "can not do shit about it". Like Rootbeer said, ever paidmin has been posted in the CD before and one (documented) incident shouldn't revoke admin privileges. And as someone who has been shit on for being a paidmin, it really does suck. You try your best to help the servers and when people don't agree with you they immediately flame you. It's a gray line when arguing turns into harassing, but when I see people shitting on Matthew I've told them to knock it off.

    I like that but it's limits people from choosing a LR. I believe the reason it's custom is so people become creative to make their own. Custom LRs are limited to what the admin/staff/warden accepts.

     

    I'd personally just be patient and wait till they come up with what they want. A list of examples would be okay though.

     

    Maybe something stipulating that 'we encourage you to make up your own LR'.

    Totally agree how we want to encourage others to make their own LRs. I guess a staff member will decide if this plug-in would be worth the time to create.

    Or maybe if a person types out !lr a message pops up saying:

     

    "This server has Custom Last Requests. Please type out what you'd like for your last request and the warden will accept or deny it."

     

     

    Usually if a person types !lr they've played jailbreak before.

    Thar definitely could be added. But I was thinking of a command that gives you a quick list of certain custom LRs that aren't seen on other server. Instead of people asking for suggestions because they don't know/can't think of an LR, there is a list of the most popular LRs that is easily accessible through just one command :) Obviously once they know what they want, they will type it put just like always, but this just helps the less experienced sG players learn some of the most fun LRs. 

     

    In example, a lot of people don't know what a North Korea FD is, and that is one of my most favorite LRs. There are so many LRs that are never used and that's partly because people just don't know about them.

    Whenever new people join sG | Jailbreak, the first thing they do when they receive LR (Last Request) is to type in "!lr". I know we don't have this command on the server due to the server having customs LRs, but I thought it would be helpful for the newer members (as well as all members) to have access to a command (i.e. !lr) to have a small menu pop-up and show them a list of about 6 or 7 of the most popular LRs with a description of each. I recognize we have a more detailed LR page on the MOTD, but (1.) it's in a different section of the MOTD in itself so the newer members have no idea about it, (2.) typing in a command in chat and having a look at all the LRs speeds up the process greatly, and (3.) When a list of more fun LRs are easily accessible, the server is more fun for everyone.

    I'm sure someone might have suggested this before, but just in case, that's my two cents.

    Thoughts?

     

    Idea Edit: Unlinke the !motd, we should be able to use mics/type while we have the list open. I don't know if that's possible, but if it is, then we should work on that as well.

    Enjoy the donation though. I started playing sG Jailbreak for a month and a half and I'm already falling in love with the community, staff, and the game itself. Expect more donations throughout the year ;)
