R&S was interesting; i was one of the primary network engineers for southern afghanistan with a fairly large network. We implemented MPLS with TE tunnels and had a fairly complex multicast network for live feeds from preds. Anyway, the experience for the test was there hands-on which made it a lot easier. My problem area was switching because i was focused on the LAN; i had to study quite a bit. I thought route and tshoot were pretty easy. I already have the CCNP Voice, the difficulty there was QoS, it straight kicked my ass. I'm working on preparing for the CCIE voice lab right now, and its just.. intimidating.. like wtf.

I'm assuming you've done your CCNP R&S since you're working/worked on CCNP Voice- how was that? I'm going to be working on it next year, probably take the cert test in 2015.

AFAIK they are having an update (soon, or already done? idk) to change windows 8 and get rid of the metro thing (i think you can choose?) and it will look just like windows 7.

 

 

This is going off what others told me, but the whole metro thing was so shitty to me I had to uninstall and switch back to win7.

Boot to desktop is back, but the start menu will be full screen metro.

Just download StartIsBack or something. No big deal.

Do you remember the IP you set on this 2nd router? Did you set an IP to it?

Could there be an IP conflict with both routers? (both 192.168.1.1, etc.)

Run a program like nmap to find out your network equipment and computers.
