It's funny how accurate Rune actually is.

When I re-structured the ranks of then =(UV)=, obviously now sG; (with the help of a few others) it was purely at the behest of complaints.

We were already over managed and over structured. People were constantly asking to become JCS (the only staff rank at the time). Fairly prestigious for the time and place, I suppose?

We had a long time crew without much turnover and the community was getting restless for promotions so we basically pulled the Advisor and other subordinate ranks out of our ass just to create a ladder to climb. Over time more rungs were added, RO's, Managers, etc....

I guess the part that I find funny is how much this place mimics real life organizations in the world of today... over managed and over structured....

Just my two cents, it should be equality for all or equality for none. Either way, everyone is equal. I don't see the point of targeting one word for one race of people. Why is it any more acceptable to call a Chinese person a chink, a Mexican a wetback, a Jew a kike, than it is to call a black person a nigger? On one hand no racial, ethnic, or religious slur is acceptable, but on the other hand, this is a gaming clan. We can play the socially progressive police for all bad or hurtful words, but for one single word? Excuse my french but what the fuck? I like to believe people can handle hearing racial slurs without crying themselves to sleep. Most of the time, the word is used comically or satirically. True, die hard racial, ethnic, or religious rants are one thing, but to take action without context is assanine. Disgusting as they may be, if you're going to get your feelings hurt by seeing these things on the internet, the internet is not a place for you.

But who knows? This might just be my white privilege talking. But at the end of the day, getting hurt over something a stranger over the internet says is crazy. Ya'll should take some advice from my good friend, Jay Z.

I wish someone still had that recording, ulta ponch MIGHT.  We had him going for about 30 minutes about charges on his credit card from live jasmin and his wife was getting fucking atomic pissed. We gave him a callback number for the FBI field office by his house in Arkansas and when we called him back he was absolutely livid. He said he was going to call the cops, I didn't believe him. He called my bluff, I was soon speaking to a police officer. I hung up after that. If we still had that recording, it would easily get a million views on youtube. Also, this-

Be careful with those things.  Although not as bad as cig's they do still have their health risks.  Vapor in the lungs, whether water or anything else is never good.  The only thing worth smoking in my opinion is Marijuana, it's the only thing that results in something noticeable.

You get plenty of water vapor in your lungs when you breath air. The only purported health risks of e-cigs is the effects of the effects of burning propolene glycol (which is a USDA approved food additive, but effects from smoking it is not completely known) and the already known effects of nicotine if you choose to smoke e-juice with nicotine added. 

Depending on the state of the clan financials, is hiring a coder out of the question? Many people are willing to do it for a small rate.

It doesn't, that's why when one comes along, we need to give them the right tools to do the job and treat them with dignity. Would you be able to tell me why the previous engineers did not stick around so I can better comment on the situation?

It was a quick rundown of what I believed the issues were, definitely needed some touching up. Another thing is how the pretentious the staff thinks they are. (Or were depending on where things are going) They talk shit on people and talk down to people. This place feels like I went back to High School anymore.  You need to value the people that play on your servers, not piss them off. They are the only reason why we keep going. It's basic customer service and just regular people skills that mean a lot. A little bit of professionalism goes a long way.  But above all, know how to have fun. Previous "management" if you could even call it that, sucked the fun out of this place. The community needs to be ran lightheartedly with a touch of professionalism. It's been amateur hour for a few years now and it's starting to show the effects.

You want to know to keep this community going? Stop taking this shit so seriously. I'm not trolling at all, this place runs like a bureaucracy now. Don't be so quick with the ban stick (monkeh, perfect example) with members of the community who are valued. Less chiefs and more Indians, and better chiefs. (ie don't let power hungry, alcoholism faking, poor decision making, not giving a fuck what happens here, inactive, immature people like Mitch) Focus on the servers but keep the forums updated. Be proactive with the servers, don't let the rest die out like WCS did. Get Engineers who know their shit and help them out. This is why WCS, our most popular server for the longest time died. Basically just find people who know their shit and give a damn without acting like pretentious assholes who think they are better than you.

The problem with granting a large amount of people unlimited microphone is mic spam. The spam is bad enough as it is, even with a limited amount of people that have unlimited mic. Because only a small amount of people donate right now, TTT can afford to give them unlimited mic as an extra perk without chat becoming even more of a clusterfuck. Now if everyone started donating, I would be against giving donators unlimited mic. It only works because a small amount of people have it, so it only seems reasonable to give the small amount of people who donate unlimited as a token of appreciation.

A good nerf would be not to decrease damage, but make it a 1 shot gun. One shot, reload. Either you make the shot or you're fucked. 9 times out of 10 I'm killed/kill with the second shot
