i was really looking to scratch a multiplayer rts itch that wasnt fucking dota

when suddenly: starcraft2's last expansion is going free to play for all multiplayer modes (including 1v1 ranked ladder) nov 14

 

nostalrius 2015 was magical because it had thousands of players who wouldn't have given it a shot unless it was free, i don't think its going to be the same under a $15/month subscription model

Vanilla WoW wasn't that good. I get wanting to experience the old flavor a bit but ... Maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I am playing it, I hope they bring only a few quality of life things to it and leave the rest largely unadulterated. Things like being able to switch talents/specs and not having to spend 50g would be lovely.

From what they have said its going to be the "classic" experience so expect to spend that 50g everytime you want to change it
