Default ~ button not working on CSGO

So I didn't really know if I should post this in Ideas, comments, and help.  So I decided that this would be an area fit for my problem..

 

So a few weeks ago I switched my console button to 1 (which I don't mind) but when we vote for a map and I try to open up console, it votes for 1..  ive tried to revwrt it back but when I try to make the next button I click the active button for console(the ~) it acts like I'm not pressing a button..  does anyone know what's up?

Did you try options > keyboard/mouse > last option is your console key

Yea and when I go to click my ~ it acts like I'm not clicking anything..

try to reinstall csgo or try to reset your keyboard settings

Would reinstalling CSGO get all my binds to restart.?

you can probably manually edit your config file,  not sure where it saves the key binds under, maybe keybinds.cfg? 
Find where it saves the config, and manually edit the file to use the backtick key

Open your console if you can. Type unbindall. Then go into your keyboard and mouse settings, and switch everything back.

Copy your binds/keyboard settings from the config file and paste it in pastebin http://pastebin.com/

then continue uninstalling csgo 

reinstall csgo , paste your binds in a new config file and your pretty much set from there

here's a tutorial on how to make a config in case you dont know

Thanks for the input but this is the opposite of what I want to do..

I'm pretty sure all your binds are in csgo/cfg/autoexec.cfg or some of the cfg files just go there and edit the toggle console bind just like ctark said

It's not CSGO I dont think.. I've looked into it and after the last update I did with my keyboard it hasn't worked ever since...  so now I'm contacting the company becuase it appears the whole ~ is gone completely from my keyboard and I cant type it anywhere..  that symbol isnt even inside the software the keyboard came with so I'm sure it was the update..the funny thing is though.. I can exit the console with the ~ but not open the console..
