What should I get for my eGPU

You could get a 970. That'll play pretty much any game you throw at it medium-high graphics. I think I saw one today for 250. Might be able to find them on sale closer to 200 if you don't need to buy right away.

At that price, a GTX 960 would be fine for you, but you could also get a slightly more power gpu the r9 380 at a similar price.

Check your local craiglist listings for gpus. Tons of people are throwing out their 980s for the new 1080s.
