Possible future computer help

So for now because of school I am gonna stick to gaming on my laptop I just got. So far I love it but once i settle into a place I want to build something for under 800 that can last me for awile and be better than what I have now. I would also like it to potentially be durable enough to fly cross country. Thinking of building this sometime next year if i can save up the money and I understand the year will change alot of suggestions but i wanted a rough estimate of what was possible.
