Never played it and I want to before fallout 4 comes out. Question is, which game do I start out with and which ones are worth playing?

3 or new vegas lmao

 

1 and 2 are totally different games from 3 and NV. Gameplay of both is readily available. 1 and 2 definitely aren't for everyone, I'd say look it up yourself and make that determination. You won't struggle on story if you start from 3, so the choice is yours.

Yeah but if you play 2 then you can play with an intelligence of 1 for a very interesting game.

If you want to understand a few jokes and references in 3 and NV, play the first two and maybe Tactics. Otherwise, they really don't matter as far as gameplay lol. 3 and NV are both FPS like 4 will be.

Couldn't get into fallout 1 but I played fallout 3 and understood pretty much everything and I think its designed that way. Have the fallout wiki open on your phone for some minor background on the universe's history and the factions but otherwise you'd be fine if you just want a good game. 3 first new vegas is not nearly as good
