So... The Xbox One's security is so amazing that a 5 year old got past it.

"A five-year-old boy who worked out a security vulnerability on Microsoft's Xbox Live service has been officially thanked by the company."

All he did was press the Y button a few times and he could get into his dad's account...

He didn't press Y a few times:

Kristoffer discovered that if he simply pressed the space bar to fill up the password field, the system would let him in to his dad's account.

The spacebar is the equivalent to the Y button on the Xbox.

Saying he pressed Y a few times when he actually filled up the password field with spaces is like saying some guy spun in the air a little when he actually did a triple backflip. Nawmean

Pretty cheap of Microsoft though, giving him four games and xbox live, when Google offers hackers around $100,000 for less serious exploits.

The kid is 5... He's probably one of the happiest 5 year olds in the country right now.

A 5 year old would have no use for $100,000

Bonds

Exactly, Seems pretty cheap to give him a few games because he's 5. When $100,000, which is mere pennies to a company like Microsoft, could set him up nicely in life.
