Binds and bind issues

Right I've finally gotten myself back onto the Warcraft server last night, my KD wasn't amazing.

 

So I'm unfamiliar with the new commands and binds in CSGO.

 

Can somebody please give me the binds for the following things, I'll put the key I want etc.

 

F1 - Shopmenu

F2 - Buy Crusaders Wish

F3 - But Tome of Experience

Z - Changerace

END - Give 16k (I'm aware of the cash every 5 round rule, don't worry)

 

Now I know these probably seem quite trivial and easy to get...but I tried to bind them last night with the advice of online players...none of which worked. I used "bind Z 'say_changerace' and a couple of variations of that, to no avail.

 

Would really appreciate some advice on these binds as I'd like to get back into the server properly.

there's no _ between the say and changerace

for example my bind is bind kp_rightarrow "say shopmenu"

Yea I think I tried that as well to no avail. Bind F1 Shopmenu works 60% of the time...but when the map ends and people give money, it doesn't work at all so I end up typing shopmenu into console which is a bit of a faff...

I don't have admin so I wouldn't know the actual commands for cash but if you use silent commands it'll be something like

 

bind kp_end "/cash @all 16000"

 

Tomes are something like

 

bind F3 "say shopmenu; menuselect 4; menuselect 5"

 

I don't know the exact menu selections for tome so you can just change the 4 and 5 to it.

 

bind z "say changerace"

 

Crusaders wish will just be the same as the tomes.

 

This is all based of CSS WCS commands but I'm pretty sure they're the same.

Thanks dude, I'm sure I tried using that bind for changerace and I wasn't getting any joy...I'll try again tonight, might be worth re-installing CS, although I'm not overly excited about that! I was having an issue last night where I couldn't type the letter h in small case, but upper case it was fine. God only knows.

That'd be why the binds I was advised on didn't work; bind F2 "buy tome" I'll try these out later and let you know. Thanks Eddy.

Yeah, when you press h it doesn't seem to work so you'll have to press h in chat or steam chat and copy and paste it into console.

Oh so this isn't just me this is happening to? How the hell can a game not recognize a small case letter...

yeah i usually have the same problem with i or o... And for the shopmenu command not working I've been having the same problem. For some reason the bind doesn't open the shopmenu window while you are dead, so you have to type it out manually or bind a key to tome :/

this worked for me.

 

for whatever reason you can not bind !cash 16000 to a key it doesnt work, but if you do

 

bind kp_end "say !cash 16000" it works.

That's because it's a sourcemod command and ! = sm_

So the correct bind would be

bind "kp_end" "sm_cash 16000"

Right, thanks everybody above for all of this. Learning to play the game from scratch right now. Being out of it for four years has taken it's toll. I was shockingly bad yesterday!

I have had some problems with the F keys aswell, sometimes they dont want to work. I ended up binding everything on my key pad.

 

 

 

@Rayne If you wana use commands, add ! or / if it is in the chat or sm_ if it is in the console.

The only key I've had issues with binding to is the P key, for whatever reason any command I bind to P doesn't work but if I bind to another key it works fine.

It should that's what I'm using try using the " marks so nothing gets left out?

I have had some problems with the F keys aswell, sometimes they dont want to work

 

Weird, I've had f bound to shopmenu ever since 1.6, never had a problem with it ever not working.
