Avery 794 Posted December 12, 2013 So about 10 days ago I injured my hip pretty bad walking around at night... I was barely able to walk on it for the first few days and gradually regained the ability to walk. Now it's gotten to the point where I can walk fine with no pain (even jogged a little ways through rain without much pain). The issue is that occasionally, usually with bending to tie my shoe or leaning in bed or something my hip will slip out of the socket causing a terrible pain and then slip back in place. It is a sharp pain for 5-10 seconds then fades away. Obviously this is a problem and I am wondering if anyone knows what could be the source of this before I head to the health center to pay for for X-rays. BeauutifulChaos 902 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Whether or not someone here can tell you what's wrong, you're still going to need to see a doctor and pay shit loads of money to them. :3 And with the pain you are describing, you probably shifted something out of place and when you bend down you pinch a nerve. Avery 794 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) />Good luck at the doctor manWent earlier... The doctor had no clue what she was talking about so I went ahead and suggested I see a specialist and she agreed it was a better choice, money well spent. Oreo 2073 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Tl;dr, Avery partied too hard and fucked up his hip. I'm not versed at all in this, but you probably tore something(ligaments) in your hip. How swollen was it the day after it occurred? With ACL/MCL tears i've seen it's usually swollen as hell and wears down after a few days. You can still walk to a degree but some stuff will cause you to collapse on your knee, etc. I'm thinking it's something with the ligaments based on how you're describing. Avery 794 Posted December 13, 2013 I've got $20 on a labum tear.I was thinking it was dealing with the labrum considering my shoulder problems. No cartilidge in either shoulder allowing them both to freely move in and out of place. Similar sensations felt in hip as shoulder, wouldn't doubt labrum damage. Similar sensations felt in hip as shoulder, wouldn't doubt labrum damage. My sister had surgery for a torn labrum in her hip the day before Thanksgiving. She's been living with it for at least a year now. It took them that long to diagnose it. If you don't ever hear a doctor say anything about it, at least mention it to them as a possibility and see what they say. 1 1 Avery and Howard Dean reacted to this
