Mitch 2111 Posted October 29, 2012 Dear sG community,As of recent you may or may not have noticed the increased in spam on our forums.I personally apologize for all the spam and thank all the staff for helping us get all the spam off the forums.In addition to registration questions and reCAPTCHA we have implemented a new spam monitoring service in order to help aid us in getting rid of all this spam. This monitoring service was not enabled before because of the increasingly high rates of false positives it would generate, but I have done some adjustments and now it should work properly.Hopefully the spam will decrease. It is somewhat obvious that with our CSGO rollout, sG has been getting a surge of popularity (a very good thing, more people come to our site). For example, if you google search wcs csgo, our website is second, only to the actual CSGO WCS mod.Once again, I apologize for the spam and I hope the changes we make work.If your account has seem to been disabled (the spam monitoring service has the power to disable your account from posting/PMing and flag it) please email me at mitch@syndicate-gamers.net . I will resolve it within 24-72 hours. If you know any newcomers to the website with a broken forum account and they aren't able to post/PM, have them e-mail me as well. I can resolve those issues and use those false positives to hopefully modify the spam monitoring service. The service is not perfect, it's learns but there will be false positives and spam bots will be occasionally let through.
