PolloLoco 46 Posted August 4, 2012 For some reason google chrome stopped playing any sound starting yesterday and I haven't found a solution for it yet. I tried re-installing adobe flash player and google chrome. Anyone know what might be wrong?
BLiNDBoi 930 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Do you have any other internet browser on your computer to make sure it isn't a adobe flash problem? Edited August 4, 2012 by BLiNDBoi

BLiNDBoi 930 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) I personally use Firefox but I do have chrome installed; version 21.0.1180.60. I obviously do not have any issues at all, just watched a random youtube video with sound.Try some of these options:Check for updates for both chrome and your sound drivers.Check settings under the volume mixer to see if chrome is muted.Check on the sound playback (in control panel), look for sound or lack of sound visual bars.Try reinstalling sound drivers.Other than this I can't help you too much unless you somehow found a shortcut to mute chrome and hit it without knowing it. Tristan. 1053 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/chrome/report-a-problem-and-get-troubleshooting-help/NOlAJLokhucI'm having the same problem too. But I got a temporary fix.Temp FixFound this on another post and it worked for me. Flash videos are playing and playing with sound now.-Go to chrome://plugins-Click and expand +Details in the Upper Right-Check over the flash files.-One is version 11.3.31.222, the other two show version 11,3,300,268-Disable the odd version (11.3.31.222) and reload the flash contentThis seems to fix it for the time being.I think it was Kory A that posted this.7 0 Edited August 4, 2012 by Tristan. 3 Empire, Someguy and PolloLoco reacted to this

RKeaton 234 Posted August 4, 2012 Try this, when I don't clear my cache every few weeks or so, Chrome always finds some way to fuck up, simple, but effective for me.http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95582
