Hey guys, we've all hoped you had a good summer playing on our servers and stuff - sorry for the bumps along the road when we were switching all our stuff from Washington DC to Dallas, it was a hard task to do (that also created some inconveniences on your side - server downtime, new IPs, population hits, DNS/rerouting hassles, etc., etc.,) but it was needed in order to improve the performance of our servers for all players around the world.

On another note, there will be some downtime for forum maintenance next weekend. We will be fixing our infrastructure and upgrading our forums to give everyone a better experience on the front end and the back end of the forum. (Kind of hard to explain, but just wait and see - it's going to be fucking amazing). REMEMBER! There will be downtime next weekend for forum maintenance.

Management

sG | Staff Changes

We would like to say that we have a lot of shifting around management (a.k.a. staff) these past few weeks. We've done so in order to serve you guys, the community members better. It's always been a trouble when people come to a staff member regarding one issue and they say they can't solve it. Then who do they go to? We've created this system so hopefully if you have a financial problem/problem with your admin sub, you can go to these people to help resolve it, while if you need help with your ranks and recruitment, these people can help solve it.

Please note that this does not affect the Server Office Program in any way, shape or form.

I would also like to take this time to personally welcome Ctark aboard as our Minecraft Advisor! Ctark has been a diligent worker behind the scenes helping our minecraft server become a successful product around here, so we'd like to promote him in recognition of his efforts. Ctark will solely be working in the Minecraft department, dealing with issues revolving around Minecraft. Congratulations Ctark!

Oracion has also informed staff that he has no longer the time he used to have to put on staff due to personal issues in real life, therefore he is stepping down from his Joint Chief of Staff position to an Advisor position. Oracion will still be helping with dealing with admin abuse complaints for paying admins and handling the financial department alongside Marvin as well as being one of our leaders who will handle the newborn League of Legends Division.

We would also like to welcome iyedol as our new Warcraft Source 2 Engineer! iyedol has shown strong interest in aiding the community code races for WCS2 and hopefully he can transform the server back to it's full form of awesomeness. Welcome iyedol, we wish you the best of luck!

[TD]The Joint Chiefs of Staff are the heads of the clan, they ultimately work together in order to ensure the clan is headed into the right direction. Each JCS also specializes in many areas to make sure the community is running in tip-top shape. Joint Chiefs are assigned to oversee specific areas in the community, they usually focus on these areas but do not find it unusual to see them helping each other out in various departments.

sG | Jason [JCS] - Chairman of the JCS. (The chairman is the head of staff and oversees and ensures everything in the community is running smoothly.)

sG | Junzou [JCS] - JCS and Undersecretary. (Junzou, being one of our most veteran staff members helps resolve the most complex situations within the community.)

sG | Marvin [JCS] - JCS and Customer Service Manager. (Marvin is a staff member that specializes in working with our finances, ensuring admins who pay for admin get their admin in record time.)

Community

sG | Server Officer Surveys and Changes

First of all, since Minecraft will now be an offically supported sG server, we would like to welcome Someguy as a Server Officer for Minecraft. Someguy has been an admin on Minecraft for many months now, and we would like to recognize his hard work. Be sure to ask him for help if you see him online!

We would also like to re-introduce Puff as a Server Officer! Previously an SO for Jailbreak, he will now be the SO for the new Deathrun server.

We would finally like to take this time to say our good-byes to Wind.exe. Over the past few years, wind has been one of the greatest admins, players and community assets to the sG community, especially in Jailbreak, WCS and TTT. Wind unforunately is unable to keep up his consistently playtime to due to college and other personal affairs. The staff would like to thank wind for his years of service as an admin helping our server and we wish him the best of luck in his future ventures!

We also want to thank both Hotsauce and Martyr Shu for their help admining our servers. Sadly, they have not had as much time to play as they used to to play any more. Thanks to both of you.

Trouble in Terrorist Town is steadily increasing its userbase daily, but still we haven't hit our numbers from before our server switch. Be sure to let people know about our new IP, and join us and find those traitors! Also, a few new changes will be tested over the next month, and input is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to our server for winning the Minas Tirith event! But, we need to keep winning this event in order for a good chance to be the top 5 groups that win the competition. Our ZE community will continue to actively try to win this event, so come on in and help us out!

sG | Deathrun - dr.joinsg.net

Deathrun has officially replaced our old scoutzknivez server, and has been met with great popularity! Along with all the old maps from our previous Deathrun server, we bring some fresh new maps, as well as a new Roll The Dice plugin (which also includes some new custom rolls!). Check out the Deathrun forums for a discussion on RTD rolls, or suggest new rolls there as well!

sG | Bunny Hop - bhop.joinsg.net

After the Orangebox update, bunny hop has severely suffered, due to physics changes from the old engine to the new one. It seemed the server has gone to the way side, but with the help of Ben_Hai, we have resurrected it! The ticrate is back to 100, and mpbhops plugin is actually fixed now. Also, we have a new timer plugin that allows you to track time/jump/velocity from start to finish of a map. Also included is a top10 feature which allows you to see your own personal bests, as well as global bests for a particular map! If you see Ben_Hai around on the server, say thank you, as he has been a huge help in bringing back bunny hop!

sG | Minecraft Division - mc.joinsg.net

Syndicate Gamers would like to announce our official expansion into Minecraft. This division will be in charge of mc.joinsg.net, our sucessful Minecraft server. It will be lead by Junzou and ctark.

Now, a personal message from ctark:

Player Numbers are at an all time high. Some nights we have hit 25+ players! We are testing out the idea of a â€œno rulesâ€ world, a place where pvp and raiding are allowed. If it works out it has the chance to add a new level to minecraft.

We have been testing out new plugins that range from anti-cheat to warp plugins. We would like to thank all our players for being patient with us during this process.

Players can now use the XWarp plugin to make multiple warps to their homes / builds. This is very useful as you can make a sign for your warp, and have others visit just by clicking on the sign. Hopefully this will help people spread out from spawn and promote showing off cool builds!

sG | Strategy Division

Syndicate Gamers would like to announce our official step into a couple new games! This division will be known as the strategy division, games which we can't necessarily have servers for - but these games are big hits within the community. For games within this division, sG will assist community members who want to play this game by:

- networking: we will bring everyone who plays SC2, LoL, HoN altogether so you guys can get to know each other and play with or against each other

- providing a voice server (voice.joinsg.net) with channels (public and private - by request) for you guys to use while gaming

- events: we will have tournaments, challenges and a whole slew of other events!

- much, much more!

The official Strategy Division Department will be lead by Junzou, the SC2 division will be lead by Empire, the LoL division will be lead by Oracion and the HoN division will be TBA. Jason and Mitch will also help Junzou, Empire and Oracion in their efforts.

We are hoping to make sG a friendly gaming community and environment that interests everyone - and this is a step forward in the right direction.
