Yeah, want to know why? Because UV never cracked down when they should have. Has anyone ever heard of the CnB TF2 community? Everyone is so peaceful there. And have lots of laughs and entertainment. I mean, they have Titty Tuesday where you post tits and pick the best ones. But they also have maturity, and no tolerance for trolling.

No, that's not really why at all. It's more because the administration staff on the other sites realize what is an issue and what isn't an issue. They're both more lenient and more strict. They can see what's causing an issue and what's just good fun, and at the end of the day, they realize that it's all about having a good time. Respecting their members helps too. For Jason to immediately jump on Psycho about his age when he's making an earnest appeal is completely untenable.

I still don't understand why Staff doesn't recognize that the best way to run a COMMUNITY is through public community voting and decisions. You'd think through the P2 incident, Renj incident, and now FFA incident, they'd of learned by now. Ok, we understand that you want whats best for the community, but does the community want that? Its like taking down MG to save space and open another JB to replace it without telling us.

Bottom line is: Staff needs to start letting us voice our opinion on changes they make. The trolls aren't whats makeing this community go down hill, its the Staff. Pretty much all major problems in UV/sG history have been the result of poor staff decisions.

No true. That is NOT the best way to get things done. That, actually, will only cause more problems, and never get anything done. Having representatives for the good of the gaming community, which is what we have, making decisions is the best way to handle all problems. From my own perspective, nothing is wrong with this change, and quite frankly it's almost annoying that the community members have MADE this into a shit storm and jumped on the band wagon.

Members make a community. Community is run by staff. I think the members should be able to vote on how they want the community to be changed and not just have the staff think "oh we have power lets do what we want". Not all the staff are bad, in fact most are pretty cool and doesn't afraid of anything, but some are just bleh.

I am glad to see people will finally be permanently banned, but it should have happened way long ago. Taking rid of ffa is only going to have trolling occur more frequently and all over the forums instead of keeping it within one place.

Because as I said before, if we did that for a lot more serious things, chances are we'd get nowhere and it's just involve more fights between members, and more backlash at us for suggesting it. I'd also guess that if we did do more with the community over things, if it DID pass, the support for it would die after and whatever was made wouldn't be used much as is.

Essentially, what I'm saying it regardless of what is done, it'd probably lead to the same loop: We give a choice out, people vote, we do it, people bitch and moan saying we're making bad decisions for listening to only some people on the forums, we offer another vote, etc etc.

So really it'd come down to a lose-lose considering how things work at times.
