No, Left 4 Dead 2 has an upgraded engine. As well as new models, new maps, new weapons, new zombies, and new game modes. Just because it has the same theme as the first one, doesn't mean it's the same. If another game came out by a different developer with models, maps, weapons, etc, would it be an upgrade for L4D?

For me, its was an "OK" game same as the first new zombies, new weapons nothing big, I'd give it a 3/5

l4d was better....only good thing about 2 imo was the introduction of melee weapons....everything else is bad.
