I also know what OP is talking about, TPD has ads that redirect your webbrowser. Not really a virus, could give you one I suppose.

I do not believe i received a virus when it redirected me as I do not use internet explorer 6.

i dont use ie6. i use 8 lol, i just suggested it b/c its the most vulnerable.. so if i set the pop up blocker to high, it would help some..

Can someone explain the reasoning behind a virus that waits for you to go afk before it triggers? Haha, yea, didn't think so. Is it possible? Sure, under the right set of circumstances - like if you were using Windows XP. In the year 2002.

so, i believe what your saying is that i should have prepared for something like that. this is also true. the thing is, I Do Not Care. i didnt post this to rant around and say "Oh no! i have a virus and im a complete fucking moron, so i dont know what to do and it is going to fuck my computer so i have to throw it out and buy a new one now!" so i got a virus on an os that i even said im going to kill in a day or two. i started this thread to tell people about my experience so they can know to becareful about stuff like that.

im not saying there are viruses inside tpb. im saying how come i type in www.thepiratebay.org in my address bar, leave, come back in the room, talk to someone, and then some "antivirus" that i havent installed appears.
