Phoenix 20 Posted February 4, 2010 I plan on buying that head set, found them on tigerdirect for 105$, are they worth it?They are extremely light (500g) and have 5.1 surround sound.
Clay 24 Posted February 4, 2010 Haven't used one, but that's kinda steep for a headset. Plus, I was looking at them and people said that the sound quality was sub-par. If you want it though, found it cheaper.http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=A0761712&dgc=SS&cid=27530&lid=627063$65, without shipping. Clay 24 Posted February 4, 2010 I live in canada :/I know, shipping will be a few bones extra. Plus the exchange rate might bump it up a bit. Google search the name and check Google Shopping.I thought you were Jewish?
Ika 320 Posted February 4, 2010 500g is not light for a pair of headphones, not when they're sitting on your head the whole time. Actually it's pretty fucking heavy, my current headphones are ~330g and they're pretty heavy.Unless that 500g includes the sound card part too.

ChosenOne2000 4440 Posted February 4, 2010 I just read the reviews....1. only 5.1 sound, I would want 7.1 for $20-$30 more2. Not USB, not very portabe3. ??? What type of sound card are you using ??? That will determine the real quality of sound. A USB headset has a built in sound cardI already have a 5.1 headset and I'm looking to upgrade so I'm a little biasEdit: If you are on a budget NON USB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826279003&cm_re=7.1_headset-_-26-279-003-_-ProductUSB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826279001&cm_re=7.1_headset-_-26-279-001-_-Product

FlyingPolish 0 Posted February 4, 2010 Dell does not ship to Canada unless you go from their Canadian site, which does not hold the Barracudas.Edit. The barracudas do run a USB connector.

Phoenix 20 Posted February 4, 2010 I might run crossfire that's why my mobo is what I need.Plastic ear caps are the worst, it keeps heat in your ears and I need a mic with the headset. So far barracuda leads
Machete 0 Posted February 4, 2010 Why the fuck are you buying a USB headset?USB is THE worst for sound. Seriously get some fucking quality shit with 3.5mm jacks on it.Dont ask me what, i dont use headsets
Phoenix 20 Posted February 4, 2010 Why not USB, because of that lag thing? The barracuda uses the usb for power I'm sure, it comes with the 4 5.1 connectors.
FlyingPolish 0 Posted February 4, 2010 Plantronics are open ear.Meh, I don't have heating problems with my Creatives....but then again I don't sit at the computer for hours and hours at a time playing games....no time for that.

There should be a staff member position responsible for deleting any posts you make computer/accessories related.Keep it to one fucking thread. Every day there's always a new thread "What's a good computer for 500 bucks?", "What's a good computer for 800 bucks?", "What's a good gaming keyboard?", "What's a good gaming computer for 1000 bucks?", "What's a good gaming mouse?", "What's a good gaming headset?", blah blah blah blah. Synikal 0 Posted February 4, 2010 Due to past experiences with Razer, I will never buy a product from them again. Long story short, I got about 4 defective products in a row from them. If you're looking for a quality headset, I would suggest the SteelSeries 5H V2. They may be expensive, but they last for a very long time, have amazing sound quality and are definitely comfortable.
