Razer barracuda hp-1

Recommended Posts

I live in canada :/

I know, shipping will be a few bones extra. Plus the exchange rate might bump it up a bit. Google search the name and check Google Shopping.

I thought you were Jewish? ;)

500g is not light for a pair of headphones, not when they're sitting on your head the whole time. Actually it's pretty fucking heavy, my current headphones are ~330g and they're pretty heavy.

Unless that 500g includes the sound card part too.

It does, there is no exact weigh for the headset itself.

I just read the reviews....

1. only 5.1 sound, I would want 7.1 for $20-$30 more

2. Not USB, not very portabe

3. ??? What type of sound card are you using ??? That will determine the real quality of sound. A USB headset has a built in sound card

I already have a 5.1 headset and I'm looking to upgrade so I'm a little bias

Edit: If you are on a budget

NON USB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826279003&cm_re=7.1_headset-_-26-279-003-_-Product

USB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826279001&cm_re=7.1_headset-_-26-279-001-_-Product

It's usb, look it has a some sort of dvi to 5.1 connectors.

I'm using the 5.1 soundcard coming with my mobo.

Portable who cares, it's for a gaming system.

There is a couple I found that fit your range.

The Plantronics Gamecom 777.

The Steelseries Siberia v2

Steelseries 5H v2

This one looks a little chunky, but by far one of the dirtiest headsets I have used.

Trouble finding a Canadian retailer for the Creatives. I found mine on ebay.

I might run crossfire that's why my mobo is what I need.

Plastic ear caps are the worst, it keeps heat in your ears and I need a mic with the headset.

So far barracuda leads

Why the fuck are you buying a USB headset?

USB is THE worst for sound. Seriously get some fucking quality shit with 3.5mm jacks on it.

Dont ask me what, i dont use headsets

Well any good quality headsets out there? Comfort and weigh is very important, since I will be gaming 2-4 hours.

The razer megalodon is 140$ but it's overpriced.

Then there is the carcharias but stereo :/

Jesus Christ, Phoenix... There should be a staff member position responsible for deleting any posts you make computer/accessories related.

Keep it to one fucking thread. Every day there's always a new thread "What's a good computer for 500 bucks?", "What's a good computer for 800 bucks?", "What's a good gaming keyboard?", "What's a good gaming computer for 1000 bucks?", "What's a good gaming mouse?", "What's a good gaming headset?", blah blah blah blah. Seriously- ONE THREAD. ALL YOU NEED.

Due to past experiences with Razer, I will never buy a product from them again. Long story short, I got about 4 defective products in a row from them.

If you're looking for a quality headset, I would suggest the SteelSeries 5H V2. They may be expensive, but they last for a very long time, have amazing sound quality and are definitely comfortable.
