When you really think about it, you just spent about 2000 dollars for the chance of getting a virtual item that you wanted for god knows what reasons. The only reasons I can think of for you wanting a knife is to impress others or you like the way it looks, both bad reasons to spend 2000 dollars on and you still didn't get anything.

I don't know how wealthy you are but 2000 dollars gets you a pretty badass rig, something that the majority of us can agree on is way better than getting a virtual knife. Now if you did it for fun, are not in any financial trouble, and know you don't have a gambling problem, then more power to you but please, like BC said, don't go to a casino. 

I went into this whole drop system with the mindset of not investing anything and just seeing how much I can get out of it. I can proudly say I haven't put one cent into cs:go and I have currently made over $100 just by patience. Sure it's not fun or risky, but at least I'm not dropping 2 grand on the chance of getting something. I consider that a massive win.

It is true; however, the only requirement is that it has to be a favorited server and not in your history, etc. Most of us have the servers on our "favorites" tab anyway

I don't know if the majority of you know this, but Valve just released a patch on Steam today that benefits us immensely on this ip change. A timely feature if you ask me.

• Added IP tracking to game server favorites. Favorites will automatically update to new server IP addresses if the game server is using a persistent account

Reducing the damage reduction is silly, you would be basically giving Witch Doctor free kills every time it turns someone into a chicken... which is like at least 1 encounter every round. The point of the damage reduction is to make it fair on the other end, sure they can't shoot but at least they have a chance to live through the ordeal, meanwhile you get some free damage in on them.

I'm laughing because I think the solution to this problem is fairly easy. Yes, damage reduction should stay, etc but here is a novel idea, every time someone uses their ultimate to turn someone to a chicken, reset the mac 10's current magazine size to 45 (or 60 if you don't give three fucks about O-PENIS)

The problem right now isn't the damage reduction or anything, but almost every single encounter as witch doctor involves me spraying the chicken only to run out of ammo because the chicken hitbox is so small and the mac-10 is a fast ROF 30 bullet weapon, then the enemy returns to human form and here I am stuck reloading my mac 10 while he is spraying at me.

I seriously think this tiny addition would make everyone happy.

*shrug* iirc sound files take a bit more to process in terms of loading maps/server than most other entities, especially given you would be loading a separate plugin for this one.

 

that being said, i dont know a lot about actual server processes but i do know i dislike quake sounds. UT sounds are where its at

 Unfortunately, only quake sounds have been made. Hearing "cherry popper" and "Unicorn Stampede" in that gay flamboyant voice was too good. I wish someone would get on it and port those sounds already.

Also, we're talking about a second or less of extra of download time, assuming the client's download speed isn't complete shit.

I don't think you understand how these things work. It's optional sounds, not a 450 MB bsp file.
