I think the issue here is that the word nigger is a cultural phenomenon common in some places and not others, and so when Jew said the word he meant it more as "my niggers", hence the plurality of the word. He meant it as a term of brotherly endearment, which is clear as day to anyone paying attention.

This player is definitely not a high ranking member of the community, if he knows people that are high ranking members, I would know of him.

That being said, I'll ban him for 4 hours for freekilling. Normally this punishment would be longer, but seeing as there were only 4 players on the server at the time I feel like this is an appropriate ban length.

My issues with Unix are related to the fact that a lot of games are solely dependent on DirectX, which makes it a bitch to get them working on Unix systems. More specifically, CSGO and Planetside 2 use DirectX and no switch to OpenGL is in sight.

No, we ended up having to upgrade the space on the SSD running the servers, but other than that very little hardware upgrades were done. That being said, we did attempt to increase the amount of traffic flow our server could take as well as try everything we can on our end to mitigate the attacks.

The static IP's like surf.joinsg.net will still work, right? I've only ever told people those IP's, so surf is set. 

The DNS entries will be updated to the new server IPs; however, when you're entering an IP into favorites for the server and you use a DNS entry, it saves the IP address and not the DNS entry. In other words, you'll still have to tell them to change it.

I'm told you're a problem on the server frequently. The problem was addressed once already with the first ban, and you admitted to your wrongdoings. You've been warned by SOs many times, kicked multiple times afterwards, and have already been banned once. The extension is for the continued disregard for 1) the rules which you promised to adhere by after the initial ban and 2) the Server Officers trying to make you stop so you wouldn't need to warrant a ban. Obviously banning you for a 24 hour period again won't get the message across, so it's been extended to a week. Perhaps now you'll understand to keep your racist remarks to yourself? One can hope.

Asked a couple of other staff, they agreed with an extension.

This is due to the server losing connection to the Steam server and thus not being able to verify your authentication (SteamID essentially).

Restart usually fixes the issue, otherwise the server will eventually connect again automatically (takes an hour or so probably).

I would say your opinion is very biased considering your 'jaded' statement. Regardless, he's staying banned until I have the time to discuss this with the rest of staff.

Do you not understand the concept of "permanent" ban? Last time I checked permanent bans don't end, unless you're given another chance every two years or so and/or pay to be unbanned. In either of the cases where we've given a 'second chance' to people the decision was made by staff through either the head of finances (Marvin) or chairman (me) or a staff majority. In this case, we aren't necessarily offering either of these to Zeus. 

That being said, I'm neither for or against unbanning Zeus, but I'd rather him stay banned until I can hear from other staff members.
