    will be buying

on second thought, this game would make me rage on how inaccurate its going to be.

    ^

I'll probably still buy it cause I love the concept of it. But I bet it doesn't capture that GREAT feeling of trying to get off parts with only 5mm of clearance, or try to contort your hand to get that one screw out of the dashboard on a japanese car, or even the wonderful feeling of dread when you snap the head off a bolt.

  2. I mean I understand the concept of the race, and think it's really well designed for its intended purpose. That being said I find it incredibly annoying, the speed + evasion + disarm means that it can basically force one player to juggle their guns indefinitely. Currently the way I've been playing against it is to jump on a box and simply ignore it until all the other players are dead, at which point it just gets ganked by the people remaining on my team.

It's a well designed, well coded, and a well thought out race. I just don't think it fits with the current profile of all the other races. It would be like adding characters from superhero mod to WCS. Yeah they are well made, coded, etc, but them simply don't fit with the general feel/gameplay of the existing races on the server.

Make the fabled wcs2 server I've heard so much about.

  3. I'm a regular on the server and have seen Pug skirt and flat out break many rules. To be frank, I'm pretty sure during the competition he used the oversight about being able to buy holy shield and necklace at the same time to help himself win the stupid admin in the first place.

I've seen him buy multiple grenades and flashbangs in the course of one round.

I myself got kicked by pug about 2 weeks into his admin. It was a 1 v 6 with me last, I didn't go to site to plant and instead camped out to save an autosniper, he kicked me at 0 seconds, round end, for not doing objective.

The guy might be good at the game, but he constantly abuses loopholes and is heavy handed in regards to indiscriminate admin action. He shouldn't have admin, period. He should probably be banned for at least a month or two for his constant abuse.

  4. Update:

Still working on stripping the paint on the tank, been too lazy to get to the underside, which I'm going to have to get at with a sand blaster.

Removed the stator cover to diagnose the no spark issue, seems to be a bad pickup coil, also seems as though maybe one of the coils is shorted/fried as there is some blackening to the insulation on one of the posts. In tracking down the no spark gremlin I've redone almost all the insulation and shrink wrapping on the wiring harness. New spark plug, and ignition coil installed. Also took the time to replace the fuel lines and filters since the old filters were starting to leak onto my garage floor.

Now to track down a replacement pickup coil......

  5. that tower looks surprisingly modern compared to the monitor

That was my first computer I ever built myself, so the tower was a somewhat nicer one for the time. Thing was blazing fast with a Pentium 4. I don't have any pictures of my previous computer that had a pentium 2 with a voodoo 3.

  6. I'm surprised they don't recycle IP's like telephone numbers.

They do to an extent, we still ran out...

IPV6 is meant to replace IPV4, also it aims to make certain things like NAT and subnetting obsolete. The total number of available addresses on IPv6 is 2^128 as it's a 128 bit address where IPv4  is 32 bit and has about 4.3 billion.

  7. That is what people said about ATI sean and slowly they kept falling off more and more till AMD made them an amazing offer(at the time) to acquire them and basically save ATI. Look at today no ATI.

AMD is at the heart of pretty much every 4th gen console. I feel AMD has diversified their product line into a lot more of the "other" processing markets. Simply put, MOST people don't need super computer speeds in a home machine, or other computing devices, they buy it as a luxury item. Also AMD has had some cool technology they've come out with themselves in the past couple years after the rework and integration of ATI. They might not be the power house that Intel or Nvidia is, but they are certainly doing a decent job at being semi competitive when their market cap is a fraction of Intel, and about half that of Nvidia.

  8. I'm redoing quite a bit of work on my 1986 Yamaha SRX600, I had lowsided it earlier in the year and damaged some stuff, it also lead to some breaks in the electrical. This is the journey so far with trying to get it back on the road.

This is just me starting the strip the tank, I couldn't use paint stripper for most of it as the previous owner sanded down the original paint, but didn't remove it. Decided to "paint" an entire layer of bondo, then put the new paint on top of that. Removing most of it with a paint stripping wheel on an angle grinder, then I have plans to hit it with a sand blaster to get the hard to reach areas. Many more images for the stator/pickup coil rebuild, gas tank cap & petcock rebuild.

  9. Unless your going to commute on that bike, bad choice on the tires. You won't get to push it very much. I've got pilot power 3s and they are like glue when it comes to corners. Rizoma turn signals would probably look better, still DOT approved and bright as fuck.

When you get the HID kit, are you going with just the bulb or getting the projector as well?

I do commute quite a bit. I have actually been pleasantly surprised on the amount of grip the tires have so far, despite the fact they are sport touring tires. I'll pick up a real sport/track set once I get closer to wanting to actually take it to the track.

As far as turn signals go, I do really like the look of the Rizoma's you mentioned, and they are pretty well priced too. I was also considering Proton's and Greggs. I think I prefer the just enough stick out of the Rizoma though so people can see it from head on. Thanks for the suggestion.

As for the HID kit, I was looking at doing the projectors and HID's at the same time, since HID's in reflector housings look like penis. Considering BK Moto as the supplier for hte projector/HID Kit

EDTI: nvm on the price of the Rizoma, I was looking at price PER signal, it's about the same as any other nice set.

  10. Progress so far. Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires, chinese adjustable levers, silver rim tape, rear spool arms, front and rear pads. To come is: new front springs, new flush mounted blinkers, removing and polishing the headers/exhaust, replace scratched stator cover & timing cover with Woodcraft slider version, Corbin seat, HID projector headlight kit, and finally touch up the scratches on the fairings.

  11. Here's my stock 01 Tacoma. had it since 98k, currently has 174k. Has the small 2.4L I4 with a 5 speed manual. It's been quite reliable but the syncro on 2nd and 3rd is starting to suck.

  12. Again, you're completely ignoring the fact that being a smart, cautious, and vigilant motorcycle rider (which, let's be honest, accounts for probably only includes like a tenth of all bikers) doesn't protect you from the errors of all the other drivers out there. And in the case where those errors cause an incedent, which is rather likely, simple physics says the motorcycle doesn't stand a chance against a four or more wheeled vehicle.

Yes, the risk of accident is in fact higher than that of a car, but being an attentive rider can mitigate a lot of that by not putting yourself into situations where say, "the mom in the suburban cuts you off" because you never put yourself in her blind spot to begin with. There are plenty of dangerous activities that people engage in on a regular basis. You yourself don't have to engage in the activity, and can say that it is too dangerous, but that is your personal decision. Just because YOU decide not to ride, doesn't mean you need to shit on everybody else that chooses too.

  13. Yeah, I think you missed the entire point of that post. Being a responsible rider has nothing to do with it.

You shouldn't leave your house, let alone your room, because it's a big scary place out there, and there are things outside your control!

So I wound up picking the bike up today cause I figured it had to be lucky to pick a super sport up on Friday the 13th. The thing is horrendously fast, and I have yet to even get it above third gear, since it can take you to like 100 in second.

  14. Lol. As if the soccer mom on her phone while you pull up into the blindspot of her Chevy Suburban at 70mph just before she turns you into creamed corn gives a flying fuck how many crotch rockets have rattled your dick over the years.

I was responding to what he said about the power involved with a super sport bike. As for riding a motorcycle, I accept the risks involved because it is something I love to do. No need to be a dick about it.

  15. Enjoy killing yourself or instilling a permanent fear of motorcycle by making that huge of a jump.

I've been riding street motorcycles for about three years now, and dirt bikes since about age 16. I've ridden more than a few sport 600's before, and even a couple litre bikes. Thank you for your vote of confidence, but I think I'll be fine.

Also a 600RR is in fact a super sport...

Literally the second sentence of the entry.
