  1. dewd dat red ferrrari and that blue car... which for some reason i dont know what its called :l much dissapoint in myself, also the Ferrari limo is cool, but it pains me that they had to saw a perfectly fine Ferrari in half to do it :C

Actually I caught up with the owner this last weekend. It turns out it is a FROM FACTORY ferrari limo. The entire thing was a custom job from the factory, and was actually made completely with factory ferrari parts. The blue car is called a Vector W8.

  2. Ugly as fuck. Get rid of the velvet top and make it more aggressive looking.

    fuck spoked wheels too.

It's supposed to be like 80's status, and I think it does a good job of that.

  3. Fuckin squid

"youll get tired of it after a month or 2"...... I still ride my damn gopeds I bought/made in highschool and have a blast doing it. Sounds like user error to me.

  4. And you get an insurance discount! Don't forget.

Took mine about a year ago in April. Best thing I learned was to watch where you are going to turn, not where your bike is currently.

That one slipped my mind but it's also totally true. You literally go exactly where you look. My one and only accident was from a bad case of target fixation. Drove my bike right off the edge of the road, and into the dirt, spilled it hitting gravel. The turn was entirely doable at the speed I was going, but because i was overly worried/focused on running off the road and into the dirt, that's the exact where I went, lol. Biking is all about confidence in knowing where you wanna go and banishing fear from your mind. I actually have the Litany of Fear from Dune taped to my windshield, I read it every time before I go riding.

  5. I didn't originally take the MSF to learn to ride (I already had ridden tons of dirt bikes prior to the course). I did however use it to get my M1 license just because of convenience, and not having to do the DMV nonsense. Even though I already knew how to ride pretty well I found the course invaluable. I learned little minor things that I would've never thought of on my own. Most of the things i really took away from the course was positioning yourself on the road to pre-avoid accidents and how to keep yourself from getting into accident prone situations in the first place. Another random but huge thing i took away from the course was using your full hand when doing braking. I was always a 2-3 finger guy before the course, but after my instructor told me the logic behind using full fingers, it made a ton of sense. The idea being that you train your muscle memory for braking with full fingers because when you do realistically get into a high stress situation where you need to brake hard, you will grab a hand full of brake without thinking about it, and not be using 2-3 fingers.

TL:DR I loved MSF, and MSF should be required for M1 licences, not optional.

P.S. Sign up for super bike school next!

  6. +1 on the integra. had one, felt like a solid ass car. Kinda wish I didn't sell it.

Also the integra is the most likely you'll find that hasn't been effed with all to hell. Too many teenagers watching FAST N FURIOUSSSSS that then go out and buy a 240SX or Civic with no actual idea of how to work on one or modify it correctly. Luckily the Integra somehow managed to fly under the ricer radar.

  7. Eclipses are not the most reliable thing on the road. The 3000GT was a good body style but was shit for reliability, even with maintenance. Rotary engines are extremely expensive to fix when it comes to needing fixing. Which is often.

Kinda why you see 2005+ RX-8's going for 6-7000 or less.

This, not to say rotaries break every other day or anything, they are decently solid imo.... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut rotaries are solid up until they day they aren't, then shell out an arm, leg, and first born son to fix it.

3000GT is a solid body style, but too much upkeep on maintenance, especially the electronics, plus they get pretty crap MPG.

If you're looking for like a used japanese sport coupe I'd say 240SX, Integra Coupe, or Civic EK. Those cars are like cherry picking though, there is a lot of crap to sort though on craigslist before you find a decent one.

  8. Welcome to the league! I'd recommend putting some frame sliders on it to start. It probably wont save it from an actual crash, but I dropped my first bike like 6+ times in the parking lot, and frame sliders will definitely help that kinda stuff. Most of those drops were from accidentally leaving it in gear when trying to kickstart it, but that wont be a problem for you with electric start. Love the blue color scheme, and never underestimate a 250. People can talk shit all day, but I still love 250's for their lightness, and fun factor.

Ride that shit till the wheels fall off.

P.S. to prolong the wheels falling off, I'd recommend looking up what regular maintenance for motorcycles/your motorcycle is if you've never had one before. Certain things have to be serviced that don't apply to cars, so you probably wont think of them. EX: Keeping the chain well oiled and the tension correct on it.

  9. Just buy the sport, if you're actually interested in making it into an off roading machine you can probably do it cheaper than the price jump of sport to rubicon. Also my friend has a 2012 wrangler sport with pretty minimal upgrades, and we've gone and beat the shit out of it in Mojave. I mean sure it can't do the extreme rock crawling stuff, but it was still a blast.

  10. No, seriously, take me with you. :) I'm allllllll about porsches.

If you live in SoCal I can actually make it happen. Otherwise, there are other Car's and Coffee gatherings in the nation, Austin and Miami have them I know. It just happens that the Irvine one normally has some of the best cars and showcases, because the rich people of the OC can spend fat stacks on their toys.

  11. Obviously Rota's. #sarcasm

Change out the exhaust before you go for rims, at least you can get some horsepower benefit out of an exhaust change. And any after market rim you look at that is under 1k a set is probably inferior quality to that of the factory rims.

  12. I have heard great things about the KTM Motards. Specifically that the tanks are huge, they put down more power than a KLR650 (I know not REALLY a motard), and is lighter than one. 530 would be beefy enough to do highway easily too, especially if you change out the sprocket ratio.

I'd just ask what you're getting it for, if you really want a motard, I'd say go to a drz400 if you can just cause it's light and that's what a motard is about. If you're looking for like a dual sport that can handle dirt better than most and is lighter than most, the KTM is bomb.
