What about the times when someone was up on a box and you get changed into the ceiling without even knowing it's going to get the person stuck... are you just supposed to be like "oh well there goes my round i'll type kill in console now"? Idk why it is such a big deal for an admin to teleport you out of the ground - you say no admins do it... They have to be dead I see it all the time. It's for the fact that Noire pointed out that people don't really use noclip in the right way when given it that has forced admins to use teleport which requires them to be dead.


  2. I agree with fixing other races before worrying about this. Honestly if anything the victim needs a notice then it should be HIS job to notify his teamates. That wouldn't take much but there are so many more races people complain about other than this and I personally think this post has blown it into a way bigger deal. So out of 20 rounds if there's 12 on 12 you get changed maybe 2-4 times. Is that really that bad compared to dieing 15 times from someone whoring a race?


  3. Like I said, I agree with notifying the victim. But putting out lights when someone is being changed.. that's like putting fat signs next to the person say "HEY LOOK I'M GOING TO BE AN ENEMY IN 3 SECONDS"-and I know that this is pretty much what the ultimate does for the users team but it is HIS ultimate.. It's not meant to benifit the other team- Pretty sure that would nerf the race a little to much- if it needs to be nerfed at all. I get better ratio with rogue than changeling so that's my whole point on rogue.


  4. See but one of your main reasons for changing the race is so taht there would be a risk that would come with it. There's your risk, I've never seen a changeling have to change races due to 4:1... Anyways... How in the hell is this any different than rogue by what you said mituskai? 90% of the time as changling you change in front of the whole team.. You're surrounded by 5-8 other people. So you get off one headshot. Then you have 6 other guys shooting at you and you're dead. fair imo.

    Well yeah it's effective. But I take the risk of dieing every round. Lots of times without getting a kill at all. other times I get one chance to hit someone in the head before I'm dead.


  6. I agree. The changeling can teleport. All we need is to code a location targeting system if it doesn't already exist.

    It exists. Think of the old 1.6 and cz wc3. You teleport and your screen turns blue with little white bobble things bouncing around for a few seconds. But you end up where you aim and nobody specifically sees you flying through the map. Instead it's a teleport.


  7. You keep talking about how it's not fair to the victim... I use changeling quite often just cause I get bored.. 90% of the time I take out maybe 1-2 people and end up dead. Sometimes I die before I get anyone. That obviously shows people see me and shoot me. The ultimate is just annoying, not op. A sign for the victim would be nice. Maybe give you some time to pull a nade and hit the people who kill you. or nade the changeling back when he switches and throws the nade under himself. I've had that happen quite often :) It sucks haha.


  8. No... Here's what I think. Have the skills cap out earlier than what they are. For instance; Their health 20 (This can be changed to where they can still maintain their 200 health), Speed 20 (this can be I guess changed to get that 1.4-1.5 w/e speed it is), Parasitic 20 (meaning the damage will cap at 20 damage). So there you have a Grayman still effective but caps out at level 60. (Keeping it on par with Dunpeal and the rest of it's block, instead of you know out parsing the others; this makes it a lot more balanced.)

    Having a race cap out at 150 levels was retarded for one and with the rules you guys have made it silly to add a race like grayman.

    So you're still at 200 health, 1.5 speed and 20 extra dmg proccing quite often, only at level 60 instead of 150. hmm really fixing a lot huh? That means at level 20 instead of 50 your running around with 200 health. level 40 your running around extremely fast with 200 health etc. makes it even easier to whore a race with even more people maxed.


  9. Moose, Necklace of Immunity has been in WC mods for a long time now. I don't see why this server took it out...

    You do realize the original wc mods you could only buy like one or two items at a time? CSS WC you can buy 2 from each category... They've changed the mod a lot.


  10. I have an idea for a new race.

    The Pimp (only pistol and knife):

    Pimp's Fur Coat - extra armor

    Pimp Shoes - runs a little bit faster with no audible steps

    Pimp Hat - Up to 50% reduction when taking headshots

    Pistol Whip - When shooting a player, the player has a chance of jumping in the air

    My Street Corner - The Hoes have been busy (extra cash at the start of the round)

    Pimp Hand (Ultimate) - Similar to the admin command "slap player" and doing chain lightning damage

    Comments?

    I actually really think this could be a good funa nd balanced race as long as the skills aren't too buffed. Like keep it to 1.3 or 1.4 running or whatever. But yeah I think that'd be kinda fun. Good idea imo.

    And that duke nukem.. Maybe a bit less health. other than that pretty good. 300 health is just kinda a bit to much... If you have to hit someone in the head 2-3 times for a kill while they have to hit you 2-3 times in the chest... They need to have something to debuff it if it's that high.


  11. But not only primarily for that reason. Someones not like "Oh, this race has long jump! All it's other skills are useless but I still want to long jump!"... Look at warlock, vamp, low grav, long jump, posess mind, it's actually one of the ones that is good WITH ulti immunity as well. But only one per team so that's one person that gets immunity on a good race....anyways, all very useful skills. But then you look at let's say warden. Hmm ulti immunity.. Oh wait, but then I mole when I don't want to and I'm dead. Oh good thing my ulti brings me back to life so I can maybe mole again and die or at least get to play a bit of the round... Oh lets throw in a tiny bit of extra damage? Not that great of a race imo. But without that immunity then I would absolutely never play it.


  12. This is why I wanted grayman to cap out at an earlier level.

    I don't see why people keep suggesting this. I know what your original thoughts are... 'Hey if graymans max level is 30, everyone will have it maxed. Then They have to follow the 4:1 kdr rule!'... But think of it like this.. If EVERYONE had grayman maxed, what happens when that person gets to 4:1... They switch off and then oh look, grayman is freed up, time for the next maxed player to jump on him and whore it til he's 4:1... Honestly it just needs some rule restrictions which hopefully will go into effect.


  13. tbh, that would nerf him so bad. a signal on the person that is being changed is one thing, then its their job to yell out their being changed. adding in that light though. thats almost garunteed death every time you change. and that is almost this whole races advantage... it's like a mole anytime you want during the round... taking that out means your committing suicide and then nobody would ever play it =/

    And battle bug, you say if there's no risk then the race is op... like noire said. Look at 99% of the races... Chain lightnings, entangling roots, locust swarms etc. They all get you through walls, across the maps etc. What risk does that take to the person doing it? The risk of knowing where your enemy is at/giving them less health/giving yourself more health? I think that's more of an advantage than a risk.... So really the race already is a risk to teleport into the opposite team... If people are paying attention they'll notice a blue skinned guy appear next to them instead of their teamate that was there 3 seconds ago.


  14. i guess if u have seen the title of this thread, i think u know what it is about,

    the server seriously need Necklace of Immunty,

    was playing an map like 10mins ago, everyone was stacking crypt lord, and spammed the ultimate, while they were camping..

    like, i didnt see an single guy from the opposite team, before i got killed by ultimates..

    this keeps going over and over again when its many players on the server..

    and especially on the normal maps.

    bad idea imo. plenty of races that block ultimates. then you'd have to revamp all those races because that is one of their main skills is to block all ultimates.


  15. How can a knife race not kill it.. stab to the back is like 165... Knife races almost never get a knife kill running at someone anyways... it's always in the back... I knife huskars all the time -.- well I used to before the server transfer and now it lags =/


  16. So what was with the server move for WCS2? It's so glitchy..and it's east coast... I have 100+ ping now rather than like 60 which blows as it is but it's glitchy for everyone as well... Any idea when this will be addressed?


  17. A few problems with your race...

    How do you purpose that the race can only do damage by causing a headshot? That would mean making every other race immune to body shots as well would it not? Maybe there is a code but I've never seen one... Aside from that you suggested no backstabs.. How would you also put that together? I've yet to see any race that is invulnerable to specific areas with only one weapon and vulnerable to them everywhere else...


  18. Yeah you have a point. idk I guess my feeling is they're restricted or they are a knife race so if it does glitch, the admins then have the right to punish them if they don't listen.
