  1. Came up with another one called Hitman. Haven't ran it during a round but here's the jist of it. Sometimes the Ts take forever to do what they need to do so this is kind of a risk/reward to speed up rounds with players who drag everything out. Traitors have 60 seconds to kill half of the server. 30 players = 15 innocent or detectives must be dead by the end of the minute. If the Ts do it, the detectives are slayed and the rounds continues. If the Ts don't do it, all of the detectives get 200 health.

Obviously this works better when the server is full but I think it's a chaotic fun round that people would enjoy.

  2. I debuted a new fun round called Ghost where a player is randomly picked to be cloaked the entire round. This one isn't as fun for the winner because it seems like there is always one or two assholes who shoot in random directions trying to find the cloaked player. Haven't cloaked a T yet, been all innos and they seem to waste their round.

  3. I really wish TTT Custom had some sort of fun round system built into it similar to what they have on Serious TTT. I've been doing fun rounds on the server once a week and the players seem to like them. Introduces a new element of game play. Here's the two I've been messing around with

Random Respawn - A randomly selected player gets chosen for a respawn. They won't know it until they die. It could be a traitor, inno, or detective. The only issue is that the player selected can't be the last inno or T then it doesn't really work out. The player can use their killer's info against them in any way they like. Only stipulation I have is that if they RDM on a respawn, they get slayed twice so players don't abuse the run.

Go To Jail - A randomly selected player gets chosen to jail another player for 10 seconds. This could work many different ways. Inno could use it to lose a player that is stalking them, detective could use it to jail a player they think might have DNA on them, and a traitor could use it to jail a detective. 10 seconds only. Must declare the jail via voice or chat. Can be used at any time EXCEPT for one on one. The only thing I'm not really sure how to set is whether or not the player selected should make it known that they have the jail card but I don't think it's fair to do it anonymously.

    What do you guys think?

  4. I generally gag players who do that although sometimes it's tough to differentiate the players who are trying to play the game that are screaming versus the ones who scream for the yell of it.

  5. Is there a way we can increase the awareness of the "report" function outside of admins yelling it at the players? Yesterday I had 6 or 7 people whine about RDM yet only one report filed. It's driving me crazy,

  6. But it's just inhibiting the use of the tester. Not destroying it.

See, I think that is the problem. Some people are trying to play semantics. So when it says that the destroying the T tester is traitorous, that is referring to a T tester that is already functional? The rule means what it says, essentially?

  7. So the rule stating that it's traitorous to destroy the T tester only applies once the tester is functional, right? That's the only way you can read that rule and say that throwing the block isn't KOSable.

  8. The diamond blocks don't bother me, it's the gold block I pay attention to. Without the gold block, the T tester doesn't work. So if a player is seen throwing the gold block to where it cannot be retrieved or dumping it in lava to where it cannot be retrieved, that in my opinion is essentially destroying the T tester which is a traitorous act.

But why would an inno do that in the first place? I don't see the strategy. I purposely destroy the T tester on 67th way when I'm inno but that's because there is legit strategy behind my move. If someone can tell me why it's advantageous to destroy the T tester as an inno, I'm all ears.

  9. I'm used to seeing that a lot as well. It seems whoever has admin and is on a lot people assume is the owner.

A lot of it has to do with nomenclature. Most of the TTT servers refer to what we call premium admins and SOs as mods and staff/owner is usually admin. I get it all the time when I'm the only admin online.

  10. I really need to upload some. I was the only admin on sunday night and I swear to god I got 4 or 5 reports of RDM only for the reported player to be a T. Good lord you're supposed to be killed by a T! That's not RDM, that's the damn game!

  11. Ghosting is supposed to give a player an unfair advantage. You have to examine each scenario as to whether or not a player is being given that unfair advantage due to what we may perceive as ghosting.

  12. Situation two is sketchy and if it works out that the guy is wanting revenge on a T then it's ghosting. Face value you can't say yes or no. I get messages all the time from people who want me to kill players because they think they were RDMed or annoying on the mic/chat. Very rarely are those players Ts from my experience.

  13. The hit reg is 90% of the reason why I have spent a lot of my recent play time on JB... Can't wait for that CSGO TTT server to go up

I tried a random CSGO TTT server yesterday and the gameplay was horrible. Can the TTT format really work with CSGO?

  14. I think vanilla is popular because it appeals to a certain demographic. The older, more experienced players don't tend to play vanilla servers (although I still play because I'm an admin and feel obligated to help the community that I strongly enjoy).

  15. What is it about Serious TTT that brings people to their server but not sG? When rebirth is at close to capacity, it's the best damn TTT server in the country. But that's not bringing people in. What do you guys think about a points system that allows people to buy traitor or buy detective? I know we currently have a player model store but it's broken as far as I'm concerned.
