Step in and tell everyone who is instigating to stop, if they don't listen to you,mute them.

If one of you guys would have stepped in at the beginning of this and just muted the people involved, the server population wouldn't of had to sit through an hour of three morons bickering.

I did. I had just gotten in when everything was already a havoc, and as soon as I saw K1p threatning to perma ct i told him to chill the fuck out or else I was going to kick him. 

He calmed down a bit after i told him to stop threatning people with powers he doesnt have, and just making the server a shitty place to be. 

But again, there was an RO there and Kim which is an official JB SO. I'm not much in my place to connect and start barking orders. 

I know I coudl've done more, but to be honest I'm not so sure what to do since there was a 3 people fight and caused other people to come in and put in their 2 cents.

 

Edit; i dint even see k1p banning fuzzy or else i wouldve definetly banned him for admin abusing.

did you warn k1p over voice chat or something, cause I went through the logs and I don't see you giving him a warning at all before fuzzy was banned which was quite a while after k1p threatened to perma ct someone.

The only warning you gave him actually was to not take his argument with beerman out of  admin only chat, which was after like 30 minutes an hour of argument between fuzzy and k1p.

SurfRPG has been gaining a steady population for the past month or so, killing it to bring in skill surf isn't going to happen.

SurfRPG population past 30 days:

Making a new skill surf server also won't be happening due to a few reasons listed in this thread.

• No resources available on our server boxes to create a new server with a population.
• No one on staff currently that would be willing to code a timer plugin and be the dedicated server engineer.
• The competition, there are HUGE communities completely centered around skill surf, it would be VERY hard for us to create a skill surf server that would be popular. How could we compete with the other communities? what could we do differently with our server that would make people consider playing our server instead of one of the other skill surf server that already have established record times and player ranks, etc?

Monetizing the server has nothing to do with us not wanting to create one, monetization of servers usually comes after we put the server up and see that there is a population of people who want to play the server.

Were the servers actually fucking up or was Knox just being a mad nerd?

If a proper response isn't posted by someone on staff by the time I get Internet (Aug 12th) I will address this but I just moved and have no Internet right now and I'm not about to address every post in here on my phone.

I don't want the race removed, I just want it slightly changed.

first of all I shouldn't be able to buy HP from shopmenu, same for boots of speed (these aren't really as OP compared to health) and cloak.

I understand the race does 70% of the normal damage, but don't you see how being able to have 190 hp (190 because -10 for the ult), infinite ammo with 50% increased fire rate, damage reduction, +75% speed and leech makes that 70% damage mean literally nothing.

this race is not as good as some of you are making it out to be. the only time the race is viable is when there is small corridors you can camp and constantly spray (maps like office are a good starting point). if you try and play this race in literally any other situation it gets shit on. 

 

stop trying to push the idiot holding mouse1 running around corners, wait for him and shoot him in the mouf. you do more damage than him, his lifesteal can't outheal your spray. 

 

people make the excuse of "you can counter it" all the time, why not this one? play a race with evasion, play a race with a bash, play a race with anything to stop him from moving so the person playing human marine gets focused.

this isn't about the KD of the race, it's about the experience a player gets when playing against this race.

The concept of a race getting + 50HP, life leech, +75% move speed, dmg reduc, extra dmg, and infinite ammo is retarded, I'm not wanting this change to this race because I find it over powered, I want the changes for the sake of the experience someone get's on our server.

eddy- maybe add a clip size plus a "gun is jammed" feature or something
eddy- basically giving the gun a %chance to jam after x amount of bullets have been shot out of 1 clip
the %chance gradually increases with the amount of ammo that is missing from the clip

 

eddy- so max clip size could be like 100, and then like every 5 rounds your clip is missing the % of jamming increases by 5%
 


eddy- just an idea, you could edit the %chance to be balanced
 
 
I personally don't like the concept of a race being able to just hold mouse 1 and sprint, maps that have lots of small corridors(office for example) is where this race becomes a horrible experience to play against and is honestly rage quit worthy.
 
Reducing the speed to 50% would be fine, but I don't think you will need to touch the race at all if you just add something like I mentioned to the race.

Also this wasn't implemented because I'm bad or mad, this was implemented to stop people from trolling other people while completing a map. 

Just the other day some retard sat in the teamspeak server and got all of his friends to join the server just to RTV, this person was just trying to troll someone while trying to complete a map.

This being added to the server stops that from happening and that's why I requested it be done.

I do hang out in teamspeak quite often, as I'm sure you know.
