    Manhunt is fun. You're walking around, not sure where he is. You turn and BAM, he's standing there in your taclight. What do you do? You run and scream like a bitch, hoping not to be knifed. And as the hunter, making people turn on each other is funny. Hopefully, we have a lot more people on Saturday to make this even more fun and interesting. Even with 4 people, it gets intense. Not sure if your buddy died or is trying to creep you out? Look for his body.

    -HEADS UP- JC got his $5 so we can host our own server. We'll be starting it back up at 8CST TONIGHT for those who want to play today. We are going to be playing again at Saturday, so don't fret if you can't play tonight.

    Make sure you DO UPDATE! The update is pretty big!

    We're postponing this to Saturday so people can get their games updated... or continue to play when we get our own server. If someone donates JC $5 OR hosts a server with custom configs, we would be able to do this. Sadly, there's assholes even on UNRANKED servers.

    And just so everyone knows, this is happening again Saturday, whether or not this gets postponed.

    *EDIT* JC might be able to get $5, so we might have a server to ourselves.

    Just letting everyone know, servers with punkbuster OFF (and subsequently unranked) are hard to come by, meaning that in order to do this on certain maps, we may have to play with high ping. Nevertheless, this event WILL go on. I am starting this at 4CST today on metro: http://battlelog.bat...Strike-500-tks/ . The teamspeak channel A is where communication will happen, including other servers that will be used.

    If you want to join sooner than 4, that's fine. The event, however, will not start until 4, which is when the first hunter will be selected.

    If for some reason there's shitty autobalance, we'll figure out a rotation for people to switch in and out when they die.

    I'm going to be doing a little manhunt on BF3 using VeniceFS, located here: http://blog.allenthinks.com/ on Tuesday (today) and again either friday or saturday. What it is going to entail is that one person is on the US team, preferably recon with spec ops black hunting down the other team with a knife. Using the fx mod, the map will be made dark and a secluded area will be made the playing field.

    The rules are as follows:

    The hunted may only use tac lights.

    The attacker may only use his knife.

    You may NOT kill the attacker.

    No IRNV.

    You may camp, but it WILL make the game boring.

    Avoid areas where it is pitch black, as you will never be found.

    No spotting as hunted.

    When you die, mute your mic.

    Scaring the shit out of people is encouraged and hilarious.

    The last man alive becomes the new hunter.

    If you would like to play, let it be known here. I need to know a rough estimate about the amount of people that will join. More details will be let known the sooner the event comes, but I plan for it to start around 4-6CST.

    Saturday Event: The event will be starting around 7CST. The server that we will be on is JC's server. Please plan to have your game already updated by then if you plan to join. We will be doing a numbers draw to see who will be the first hunter. If you do not have a tac light, try to get one. Otherwise, just ask for one. Teamspeak group channel A will be where the event coms will happen. I hope to see a lot of you on! Depending on how many people we have, we may change maps before we start.

    We just had a server vote to do locational voice. It was actually cool and made it extremely more fun. There was a couple of bugs like traitor chat still being local, but here's my suggestion to that: I vote instead of all talk we use locational voice on the server. The T chat should still be heard by all Ts. Added to that, the Detective should be able to talk to everyone, including Ts with shift. I think this works a lot better than what we currently have. We would have to increase the range slightly, but it would work. This would also serve as a reason to get rid of mic drain, because now the whole server isn't cluttered with chat. Slight tweaks can be made, but I think this would be much better.

    My condolences go out to you and your family.

    I've had my great grandma, an uncle, and an aunt die these past two years. What really hit me hard when it happened was that my aunt had to be suddenly hospitalized and died on Christmas Eve. And then my great grandma and uncle passed away this last winter break. It really sucks to lose a family member, but I can't imagine losing a parent. Do as the others have said to do and you'll eventually be fine.
