The two women who were arrested shortly following their accused fatal poisoning of the North Korean leader's half-brother, Kim Jong Nam, recently pleaded "Not Guilty" of their charges. The two women, Doan Thi Huong of Vietnam and Siti Ashyah of Indonesia, could face the death penalty if convicted of their crimes.

The article was revealed only hours after Donald Trump told his envoys in North Korea that "diplomacy would be fruitless and all ties must be severed."[1] We can expect to see the plea story on the headlines tomorrow, and Trump's twitter feed pumping more of his usual statements.

Though relations and tensions between the two countries have flared, with each country contributing with their own incendiary retorts, none have been so severe as this case, and we could see a potential resurgence of hostility between the two countries.
