Can anyone help me or explain this team speak to me please because I'm confused about it.

An app that allows voice chat to other users in your server, inwhich anyone can come and go at anytime.

something along the lines of skype, but instead of groups there are servers

its also less "personal" than skype

 

you can have your own avatar and name

mute people

change an individual persons volume

kick people

add friends ( I think )

and more that I cant think of right now

Download the client.

Click on the "connections" button on the top left and fill out the information: https://gyazo.com/d17ee02488138d9bd6903803fd1d45cd

Everything should be the same for you, except your Nickname will obviously be whatever you want.
After that, just connect and enjoy the talking cancer.
