There is something special about this country

Recommended Posts

Right now I'm watching the funeral procession of Officer Michael Smith and the people here in Dallas are showing their love. There are people out on overpasses, sidewalks, out in the highway near blocked off exits waiving hundreds of American flags at the hearse. Say what you want about some of the people in the United States but we love the people who protect us.

And my personal favorite

I love this country.

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream,
’Tis the star-spangled banner - O long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave

I'm glad we have people willing to be police officers to help enforce the laws we have and to keep peace.

To me, they're just as important as people in the military. It's sad to see some of the people in this country try to start a "revolution" against the people in law enforcement. I for one am glad and I know I can feel safe knowing we have people keeping the peace out there.

These are the types of great things that make the United States truly United.
