I tried to turn on my shadowplay and my game crashed and resolution on my screen went way down and screen turned black. Ive got a 765 so it's pretty outdated.

Not all nvidia graphics cards can support it. I'm assuming yours is a gtx 765m for laptop? If so it should work. You could try reinstalling the geforce experience and see what that does. I've also got the system requirements for it here incase I got the wrong GPU. http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/system-requirements
