I'm not sure what all this is about P2's supposed hacker, but I swear to God, if I even have to risk reformatting my computer because of some STUPID ASS BULL SHIT, I will leave. No fucking way I'm putting up with that. And if I can get his little pets IP, I will ruin his year. I don't know what it is that makes you guys think it's ok to send links like that and then get on MY ass when I'm pissed off about it and say I over react and all it is is a computer or a reformat. How about you stay the fuck off my computer? It's mine and I worked my ass off to pay for it and everything I have on it is nearly unique and very important to me. So back the fuck off please. And if none of it is real or P2 has nothing to do with it, then disregard the message for now and use it as a future reference should you get squirrelly on me. I have no idea what's really going on. I was not there when what ever happened happened, and it's a good thing I wasn't according to what I've read. And since I've seen no response from P2 on any of it, I'm lead to believe what everyone else is saying. None of it even makes sense if it's true anyways. Alright, I told P2 that it was a dumb idea to fuck with people. He didn't listen to me. Anyways, This mulletman guy, he has permissions from when he worked at Time Warner Cable. So, he can only shut your internet off/crash your modem. He doesn't have any access to your files etc. I really don't think he will be messing with anyone's stuff on here anymore. I told him(mulletman) that he can get into a lot of trouble for messing around like that. I just hope he takes my advice so he doesn't get into trouble.

I suggest to all of you who are freaking about losing priceless and unique data that you do the obvious and back it up, to several places even, i.e. USB key, DVD-ROM, etc. could also get a Media Vault that is external to the computer via USB for large archiving.

And of course get a good Antivirus suite if your using Win32/64. I use ESET NOD32, its pricey but its amazing, look it up. I got sent the same link as all of you and NOD32 intercepted it and terminated the connection and I haven't had a problem yet.

There were two things going on, one was a gay porno/rickroll link. No real harm, just annoying as fuck and requires a little ctrl-alt-del to shut it down.

The other was mullet logging in to TWC diagnostics and shutting down/resetting modems at specific IP addresses of TWC customers. It did no harm to the comp, only reset the modem and in a minute it was back up with no harm.

For all of you that are paranoid that this would cause harm to your comp, it won't. Unless of course your comp is destroyed everytime the power goes out and you lose internet.

It was wrong and mean, but thankfully doesn't do permanent harm.

As for the porn link...that one is not old at all, that has been going around for awhile and pissed people off last time too. I have Nod32 as well and it picks it up. Also, an anti-phishing filter works wonders for catching malicous redirects.

Like Bios and Eagle said, he's an ex-TWC employee that still has access to their diagnostics. The worst he can do is get your name/address/phone number that you registered to your modem, and reset your modem; and that's only if he has your IP address, which he has to get through social engineering. Hardly leet hacks.
