It's been awhile since this item got restricted on the race and if I remember correctly it was due to the fact that it was an annoying long range disarm and added a lot of longer range damage to the race that didn't seem too fair when people couldn't see where the nades were coming from (or something along those lines). I'd like to petition for the item to be unrestricted on the race because it's not anything that gives a sudden huge advantage to the race or makes it really OP by any means, and there are several other knife races that can buy this item and use it to attack people and disarm them from far away the same way a KJ would.

 

If I am remembering how the item works correctly, it only spawns in a grenade once every 30 seconds, which means if a match is played the full 3 minutes a KJ would at most get 6 nades out of it, but the 6th one would come in at the very end and wouldn't be much use. On hostage maps if a hostie is grabbed then sure, it could potentially get a 7th nade to use if the time almost hits 0 before a hostage is grabbed. In most cases the rounds don't tend to last that long though so the player would realistically average 3--4 nades, possibly 5, in most rounds. If there is still good reason why this race should not have the item then I'd like to have someone explain because from what has been said on the server no one really seems to think there is anything wrong with the race having the item and the race had the item for a long time before it got restricted without it being much of an issue.

Yes cause who doesnt like being disarmed from across the map by someone you cant see. KJ shouldnt have gloves back it only needs 1 nade.

Undervaluing KJ invis.

 

You won't see a golden tail sit on top of twinkie throwing nades down until he gets a disarm so he has a free chance to swoop in and get a kill.

I get that it's a more powerful item with a KJ because of the invis, but it's only a handful of nades spread over the entire round and if you don't throw one soon after you get it you will have to wait longer to get your next one so it's not like a KJ can just spam nades at someone to get a disarm or deal lots of damage. Not to mention that if a KJ throws it from really far away to try and get a disarm, chances are you will be able to get your gun back and be more aware of your surroundings by the time it gets to you.

 

Also, grenades aren't invis on a KJ and you can see it from across the map so as soon as a KJ pulls out a nade you can at least see the nade floating around in the air and that has gotten people killed on the race before. But if people think it's still just too much to have on the race that's fine, it was my favorite item and one of the few I would ever buy on the race (or any knife race) and after having it for so long with no issues I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and get it back.
